  1. THE ONLY GOOD PANOZ ON THIS SITE

HERES A COOL PANOZ !!! LOOKIN GOOD, PERFORMING GOOD, WINNING RACES..
THE ROAD CARS JUST AREN'T ANY GOOD..SHAME<!-- Signature -->

  2. TLMP01 car did better at ALMS than the LMP07.

  3. so who cares, does any one know the top speed?

  4. Top speed varies with race cars. What aero package it is running and also the gear ratios make the difference. Top speed i would put in the 225 mph range.

  5. Supersonic, will you shut up already? How did you become a "Supercar Guru?" Probably by posting comments that couldn't hold water. I try not to talk badly about cars unless I have personally realized how sh*tty it is. The Panoz road cars are definitely not crap. The AIV Roadster is perhaps one of a few cars that typify art-on-wheels.<!-- Signature -->

LOL<IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"> i think panozs don't look so good and i think he justifys the high prices of his road cars with his track success..the race cars for sure are excellent but the road cars are really overpriced compared to the competition.<!-- Signature -->

  7. He used the saying that everone on this site uses when they work themselves into a jam, he compared the prices and generalized by saying that all panoz's were over priced. So I picked up my car and driver from july of 2001 and found a jaguar xjr, 911, and an esperante. The 911 costs 78k and ran a 5.5 0-60, the jag cost 87k and ran a 5.6 and the panoz cost 83k and ran a 4.9 to 60. Now does it sound like they are all priced way over their competion? You must of made alot of mistakes en route to becoming a supercar guru, and here is one more.<!-- Signature -->

  8. in some way supersonic is right because if you think of a panoz roadcar you will expect something like the toyotas GT - 1 roadversion something LMP 900 like something really supercar like but they made some normal sportscars . I mean these roadcars arent bad but i expected more ..... why there is no LMP 07 road version ?? I mean i wont have the money to buy one but thats the same with the other Panoz roadcars ....

"His" track success? Dr. Don Panoz builds the racecars. His son, Danny Panoz builds the roadcars. Two different companies, two different owners.

  10. If they are different companies how come they have the same symbol?<!-- Signature -->

    Family logo?

Panoz Motor Sports, Panoz Race School, Elan Motorsport Technology, ALMS, and the race tracks are owned by Dr. Don Panoz.

Panoz Auto Development (Experante and AIV) is owned by Danny Panoz (nice guy I might add).

Chateau Elan is owned by Don's wife.

  13. I think Don Panoz and Dick Barbour need to go back to the drawing board. A front engine LMP 900 nor 675 prototype will ever win at LeMans. Anyone who thinks that is just plain dumb.

Why? can you give me one good reason. There are multiple advantages to the design, but of course disadvantages. The major disadvange Panoz has to Audi is money, but Panoz can still give audi a run for its money.

  15. actually the Panoz has very good high speed stability, so it would do well at tracks like LM<!-- Signature -->

  16. Panozmonster, panoz did actually build a couple street version of the Esperante GTR-1 for homolgation purposes, but they only did that because they had to. There would be no way to make a profit off of a street version of the 07, that is if they could even manage a way to make it street legal and still bare any resemblence at all to this car. The money recquired to build such a car would far exceed any possible real market interest in the car, so it would certainly be a money pit to build such a thing. But it is a neat thought.

  17. As much as I love this car, it sucks! It performs horribly, has never come close to winning, and Panoz's road cars are perhaps the best ever from a small independent manufacturer.

  18. who cares about THAT!!!
top speed is meaningless in a race track...
LMP1 cars are limited to around 180-205 mph

  19. Top speed is VERY meaningful at a track like Le Mans.
