    So here's the deal...

    A 99 GT can be purchased for $15,999

    Running: 260hp and 304 torque

    So you say...that's nothing my supped up piece of a honda can burn that or my 911 carrera could eat that on the strip

    in that case...one may add a procharger supercharger for 4 grand which runs this fine stang up to: 442 hp and 516 torque

    I'll sum it up for those of you who are car illiterate: I pay under 20 grand and have a monster that could smoke your 911 or any piece of a crx that you throw @ it and for you porsche drivers, I have 70 grand more in my pocket

    By the way we are talking about street racing, please don't bring up hairpin turns or back roads

    So let's hear it all you Civic/Prelude/Integra/CR-X/Mistsu/ and Mazda drivers..

    There's no replacement for American muscle!

    Over 500 lb-ft of Torque ouch...I hope every one realizes t that is verp territory for under 20 Grand

    Any other ideas for high horse power mods??
     
  9. I'm not big on email, I don't care if everyone sees this. I bought a '69 Chevelle coupe for 1k or 1.5k (can't remember) with 350 motor & transmission. Sold the engine & transmission and bought a new stock 454 w/ 400 turbo tranny for 1k. A mech friend of mine and I took out most of the stock internals, sold them, and got new pistons, cams, headers, rocker arms, valves, crank, ect. ect. Played with the heads, redid the rear end and suspension. Because we got to use his shop it was dirt cheap to do, grand total right around $5000. Runs mid-10's with 683 lbs. of [email protected] RPM or 819 HP.

  12. Gotta tell you. I have a Honda Civic that pulls lower 12's. What does your mustang pull. 15,999, does it even have AC.j/k. I have an affinity for Jap cars. Nothing like the sound of 4 cylinders reving 9000 RPM. OOHH, sorry your mustang would explode.j/k. As for reliability, did you really say his hand built car was less reliable than your production mustang. With that blower and no other upgrades I wouldn't give it 50,000 miles.

  14. If all you can afford is a mustang go ahead. but for your info a camaro can be done up much easier, for cheaper, faster, and will look better. but if you really want power look to Henessy for an example. anuthing good is better mopar

    but i agree with maxpower this time

    i say they prety much killed the

    mustang. the best stangs were the shelbys

    i prefer mopar but a good car is fine
     
  16. Well I would of ment street car, seeing how it is on the street. BTW- no one, minus the stupid, race in traffic. We call the straight roads highways.

    My hand built car has gone 20,000 miles no problems, I call it reliable because I take CARE of it unlike some people and I know what went into it.
     
  17. I almost find it funny that you refer to a 4.6 Liter, 270 HP car as "American Muscle". Real American muscle is is a 427 big block roaring under the hood of a '67 Vette. If you really wanna show that American Cars still have what it takes, just look at a Saleen S7... Or take a look at what Cadillac is planning on doing with the Cien.
    A Mustang is in no way a good representation of what America can do with a car.

  20. yes i can!!!! try that in the rain or in the snow or in any other weather then dry pavment you cant all that power and cant hook up that sucks sure going fast in a straight line how about in a road race it sucks it time is over.go all wheel drive. so i just proved you wrong

    Just wondering but have you ever compared aftermarket parts for a mustang and a camaro. You can take an aftermarket part from the same company for both cars and I will guarantee you that the part for the mustang is cheaper. Does that mean it sucks. No, it just means that those of who keeps the mustangs alive have a little bit more money to play with on Friday night. I have a buddy who has a 97 or 98 camaro and one with a 98 formula. We are always looking at mods for our cars. These guys pay out the ass. <!-- Signature -->

    You forgot to throw in how hard it is to actually reach a Camaro/Firebird's engine. Ford basically gives you a car that you can modify from the ground up, GM will give you a car that is pretty powerful stock, and will suffice for most speed addicts, but modifying it will not be as simple as a Mustang. Either way, I think all three are great cars.

Ive also seen mustangs that eat the 1.6 and than shit them out as metal to be recycled, but what i dont understand is why these ppl lyin out of their ass talkin they got 819 hp on their ride, go fuk urself. I dun care if ur friend has a shop or not cause with #$%# 819 hp u should be going to the professional drag racing. Those #$%#s get ppl to sponsor them, u on the other side tellin me u got all that hp out of ur friends shop, please stop suckin so much dick, just stop it, its not even funny.

  24. okay, NO! there is no way your piece of trash 20 grand ford mustang bullit could ever take a 911 turbo or a 959 or a GT2. THINK ABOUT IT. not a chance my friend, it just doesnt work like that.
