  1. First off I would like to congratulate Josh6474 and ShadowAngelofGod77 for being completely right. Even though GTO's and TA's are my favorite American cars, I prefer Japanese cars over American cars every day of the week. I salute the Supra, the Rx-7, the Skyline, the NSX, the 350z, The SC430 etc.... Oh I know the Ligenfelter Corvette will beat these, not to mention the Hennessey Viper, but answer me this. Who the #$%# cares? will your car beat a Supra? can you make a Supra fast enough to beat this Firebird prototype? yes. Are their Japanese prototype cars with equal pimpness and blazing speed potential? yes. So get off your American muscle soapbox and realize that Americans do not make the best cars in the world. Other people make cars just as fast but they do it with more efficiency, smaller engines, more hp/liter, better gas mileage, better reliabilty, better this, better that, better better better.

  3. trans am are cool but id take jap cars. just my opinion and why compare a concept. american cars are just cars that have big engines with alot of hp they aint special.
     
  4. turbos are a disatvantage for some one who doesnt have a turbo dude................ think about it this t/a has 600 ponys with out one...yet you need turbos to reach a signifigant amount of hp on most imports...

    all right im gettin kinda sick of this single-tracked, "american muscle owns everyone" minded crap. i mean, i respect this car for what it is, a NA 600 hp coupe. but saying it owns every jap car is bullshit and you know it. if you dont believe me, go here:

    and i dont want to hear "its turbo. it doesnt count." this car is making 200+ more hp than this firebird from a tiny 167.8 c.i. engine. you show me one american "muscle car" that is that efficient.

    and i dont want to hear "its a tuner car. it doesnt count." either. cause this firebird is a non-production tuned car as well. i will admit that the firebird is a beautiful car (i like the stock WS6's better though) and one day, i want to get a silver WS6 and make it a fire-breathing V8 monster. i love the rumble of a V8 exhaust. but i also appreciate and respect the japanese cars because they do ten times more than american cars with half the displacement. you show me one american muscle car with a 168 c.i. engine that matches the roadhandling and power of the blitz r34. give me proof and ill admit i was wrong.
     
  6. Ok but what you have to understand is that in japan, hear that IN JAPAN. The skyline is their supercar, and so is the supra, RX-7, and so on. In japan they specialise in the Twin Turbo inline 4 cylander engines. Thats what they have to work with. But, they took that same concept and put it into the japanese V6s. Now, over here in the USA, we specailise in the V8s always have always will. Thats why our 4 bangers (Focus, Cavalier, sunfire, and so on) aren't that powerfull. At the same time you can make the cars listed above fast as well, but thats not my point. The point is that the cars in Japan IN JAPAN, that have'nt been imported are on the japanese car standards. When they are imported they are tampered with before they come over seas, so they are on american car standards. Hmmmm, could a dumb american actually know what hes talking about? Yeah. As for this racing in a straight line and twisty roads. Give it a rest! There's different racing all over the world, I have had enough of that crap. So, with all that I said all I have to do now is wait for the ppl to tell me that I'm a stupid american and I have no clue what Im talking about.

  8. Japanese cars just plain have better technology. I have several friends who have perfectly-running late 80s Integras with almost over 200k on them! can we say quality control?

    I just dropped a grand on relays, grounding, and filter/pump replacement. guess what I'm driving? a 94 TA. miles? 100k.

    import lovers and musclecar drivers are arguing from different arenas. those that drive imports are more concerned with efficency and technology, while those that drive muscle are geared toward power.

    obviously this car would whip MANY Japanese cars, but don't forget this car is not production - it's NOT A STOCK TA. that's something very important to keep in mind. it's sensible to compare this car to a tuned car. also, about the natural aspiration vs forced induction.. I consider using a bigger engine vs a smaller one a handicap all its own. therefore, chargers should be legit.

    yes, I love my TA. I own many of the ri.cers over here. however, they will always win a few "races" that my TA never will. gas mileage, reliability, being able to run on standard fuel, mobility (such a long car!), etc. etc. etc. so please, don't shame TA drivers by comparing their cars against a whole country which has produced many of the world's most efficent cars. look out your window and tell me how many imports you see. there's a reason why imports are there...
     
  9. The reason why there r so many imports is cos GM and Ford lost the plot and forgot how to make affordable rear wheel drive cars that ppl want.

    How can the youth of today aspire to ugly front wheel drive impalas and grand ams?
    Take a good long look at aussie cars

    not to mention all you Americans not sticking up for yoru car culture and letting rycers take over.
     
  10. american v8s are a completely diffrenet world from japan v8s and l4s and v6s.Nothing in common.also another question why always comparing a muscle car vs jap car? this is just a nonsense.

  11. YOU SEE I LIKE FIREBIRDS THE ONLY MUSCLE CAR OUT THERE I WOULD GO OUT OF MY WAY FOR. BUT YOU GOTTA FACE THE FAQS HERE! HOW MANY 1000HP V8S DO YOU SEE? NOT THAT MANY IF NOT NON BUT YOU SURE AS HELL SEE THEM IN SUPRAS AND SKYLINES AND THESE CARS WOULD KILL AND AMERICAN CAR EXCEPT THE VIPER. YOU CAN SAY LINGENFILER THIS AND THAT BUT WHO CARES ABOUT IT IF YOU CANNOT TURN! THE ONLY SUPERCAR FROM AMERICA IS THE DODGE VIPER LIKE IT OR NOT BECAUSE YOU DONT SEE IT USING ANY TWIN TURBOS OR SUPERCHARGERS LIKE THE SALEEN S7 OR THE 427TT. ON THE OTHER HAND JAPAN HAS THE SKYLINE AND NSX THESE CARS COULD OUTRUN A VIPER BUT THE SKYLINE WOULD WIN AT THE TRACK AND THE SAME GOES FOR THE NSX. THIS CAR IS GREAT BUT LOOK AT HOW MUCH IT WEIGHS COMPAIRED TO OTHER CARS. EITHER WAY I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM BOTH TAKE ON REAL MUSCLE CARS LIKE THE LAMBORGHINIS THE FERRARIS AND IM NOT TALKING THE 360 AND GALLARDO EITHER IM TALKIN ENZO,MURCIELAGO THESE CARS WOULD KICK THE CRA.P OUT OF ANY CORVETTE OR VIPER AND MORE. BUT WERE NOT TALKIN ABOUT THAT. JAPINSE CARS WIN IN RELABLETY AND SOMETIMES PRICE. AND AMERICANS WIN IN BANG FOR THE BUCK! AND THE EUROS WIN IN PERFORMANCE!
