  1. This car is amazing. I mean, I am a Skyline fanatic, and this car has me salivating whereas that car only piqued my interest. V-12 power, probably 3.8 "real" 0-60 time and that Ferrari name. Z06, Supra, RX-7, Viper, Skyline and Murcielago better watch out, the 360 Spirit is in the 575!<!-- Signature -->

Actually, the real competitor for the 575M would be the new SL55. Those others, with the exception of Murcielago, aren't in the same class as Ferrari and Mercedes (and Lamborghini), so performance numbers aren't comparable. I can only imagine how superior the drive quality of the 575M is, considering the 550 is my favorite car to drive (actually 550 Pinin.).

I really wish they would have made a more "sexy" change for the styling of the 575M, along the same lines of form as the 250 GTO and 250 TR. I think the style associated with the 250 series, very sleek with full curves but perfect proportions, will be combined with the materials of present day to create the future style of exotic cars. Well, at least that's what I'm working on...

  5. Re: Read this!!!

your telling me that a ferrari would even fall under the same category as a toyota supra? where do u get this from?

  6. Re: Read this!!!

Thats what you're working on? What does that mean? Are you a trans designer?

  7. Re: Read this!!!

Since when is a 575M not in the same class as a Murcielago, but the new SL55 IS a better oponent.

  8. Re: Read this!!!

I don't know if its adequate to compare the SL55 to the marranello, i think the ferrari is in a higher price range, and the marannelo is a V12 while the SL is a V8...
u should rather compare the F360 modena spider to the SL55, they're both roadsters and they're both in the same price & engine range...

so lets compare the 360 to the SL55:
considering only performance the ferrari is better than the SL55, it is performance oriented... the SL55 is more like a luxurious , confortable roadster...
Motor Trend september issue had a comparison between the SL55 , the 360 spider, the DB7 volante and the Z8, at the end they concluded that the SL55 is the overall winner, cuz it combines at the same time extreme power with extreme performances, alongside excellent smooth confortable luxurious ride, is filled with the most advanced technologies and present a folding hard top unlike other roadsters...
    so the SL55 wins..

  9. Re: Read this!!!

Umm, No.... The 575 is not the competitor to the SL55 Amg. There's a huge difference in price, performance, technology, name, and, most of all, TRANSMISSION. The SL55 offers neither manual nor paddleshift.
