No problems dudes...

Jap Performance eat Dust,
Those specs seem rather slow...How sure of that are you? The GT2 does 60 in 3.6 the Murcielago does it in 3.7 and the Pagani Zonda C12S not C21S does it 3.5

6. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Strange results: S7 starts so fast, but the progression @ high speed is not excellent: 0-100 mph 8.9s
For Ex. an old F40 did 0-62 mph 4.5s, but 0-100 mph 8.0s!!!
Anyway... THANK YOU!!

Those spec. are from the British Magazine AUTOCAR regarding to issue of ENZO performance test.

8. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Interesting...Rather slow numbers...Do you know the weather condition of the track?

9. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Usually dry, and those results from British seems a bit slower than the American counterpart...

damn thats pretty fast! but in the auocar mag, there were mostly two people in the car when they road test the cars. i think that there was only one person in the car when they did this.

11. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

I just got my new Car and Drive mag. They got the S7 to 60 in 3.3 seconds. 1/4 mile in 11.6 @ 126. Top speed 223.

12. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Yeah I saw that....

13. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

It also hit 226 mph!

14. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

That's a lot of speed for 550HP.

15. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

i think its because first gear is so tall it can almost hit 60mph in first, i think i read that somewhere

seems like something happened on the 2-3 change, like he missed it. based on the graph before then it seemed he would hit 100 in around 7 seconds but he missed the shift. even the 90mph was hit in 6.4, but 100 took another 2.5 seconds???

18. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Car and Driver explains that the little flat spot in power for the S7 is due to a calibration glitch in the engine. This engine was essentially taken out of the S7R and made legal for street use. I believe it, seeing how the S7R uses a higher energy fuel on race day.

Personally, I would have added a light pressure turbo to it, maybe that would get rid of the problem, then again, maybe not. But I like twin turbo American iron, baby. What I don't understand is why this car only has 550 horsepower (typical gearhead). It could have SO MUCH MORE. if this thing had 700 or more HP via turbos and a better braking system (The Viper can outbrake this AND the Mosler Photon, which only weighs ~2100-2200 pounds with a full tank of gas and a driver), this car would destroy anything.

Its not a huge problem (the flat spot in the engine), its only annoying when racing an Enzo or the Murcielago, or the holy grail, a McLaren F1. How many of us have ever done that? :p I'm not saying I did, but the Saleen, with just a little modification, could do it.

Yo, Steven Saleen, are you reading this?

19. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

depending on when they did the 1/4mile run a car that has been running for awhile will have a flat spot somewhere...like mine if i do 3drag races in a row i will progressively get slower each run and will also feel a flat spot and more lagging throttle...

the article mentioned he got the clutch hot just trying to get used to it...

any how the enzo is stilled closed tested...in the sense that all of its ACCELERATION times have been done on the ferrari track where the only straight has a down slope....and yes a slight grade will help, hell i bet the s7 will do the same numbers as the enzo on the same down slope...

lets see what that enzo does on a flat american drag strip...

any how, i bet the s7 would beat the enzo around the track, the s7 shinning point, maybe not by much but it will do it...imo

20. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Are you stupid or something?

The Enzo would rape an S7 on a track it would beat the S7R road going car to. Do you really think Saleen could make a car handle better than Ferraris best? please

21. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

You jackass I meant if they made a road going version of the 600hp SLR it would lose to the Enzo.

22. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Yeah and what do you drive moms minivan

23. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

I'm guessing due to Turbo lag

25. Re: Road and Track hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds!!!

Does it seem like I care?

And its the S7R not SLR get it correct if you are going to talk to me about sentence stucture.

The Enzo is faster on a track. And if it was in Le mans it would rape the S7R. But because its American its the best right?
