  1. Nice one basman007. Can't wait for the last update. That McLaren F1 LM was the greatest find IMHO <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  2. Pics of the LM!!!!!!!!!

I found pictures on this website:

    http://www.autotitre.com/forum/Rarete_only_le_retour-38539p271.htm

of what appears to be the Mercedes-Benz Argento Vivo By Pininfarina. The car is tagged with the Honda logo. There are 3 pictures, 2 of the exterior, and 1 of the interior.

To quickly locate the photos, hit "crtl F" and search "PininFarina."

Also, looking on the PininFarina website I found:

    http://www.pininfarina.com/index/storiaModelli/modelli.html?scheda.php?id=35&cmp=anno&ord=desc&sl=0&ids=bb49640296c765b255840503aa9a6d56

Does anyone know anything about this? Is it actually a Honda, or is it a Mercedes?

    Thanks

  4. It's both.

Originally a concept/show car for Honda. The Sultan must've liked the styling and got a few ordered on a Mercedes SL platform.

    I think anyway?

The car in both those links is the Honda Argento Vivo Concept by Pininfarina and is currently owned by PF. The Mercedes-Benz based produced AV's are pretty much the same when it comes to the exterior, but the they're different under the skin and the interior is too.

Americans. These modern cars aren't the primary focus of this thread/my interest, but I came across them and might as well share a few of the pics I found, right? <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  7. Thank you big time for those Viper shots! Never knew there were any in the collection. I've only heard of a couple other RHD converted Vipers, one being in Australia, and I think I've seen a pic of one in Britain

  8. You're welcome <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> As I've heard it it's the only one in Asia, but I'm not 100% certain of this.

  9. despite my screen name, the Viper is actually my dream car. I've sat in a few, got for a couple rides, and WILL someday own one. I so have to remember to google search for RHD Vipers

  11. Nice one there. He's still buying cars in the times of economic downturn. Haha. BTW, that Viper was in Singapore a few years back. The only RHD in the world. It was also stated that it was for sale. Didn't know it went to Brunei after that <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  12. Damn good job, basman007! And a good 2009 to you too! <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  13. So I was searching around, and found a few RHD Vipers, one black SRT10 for sure, the Sultan's GTS, I think a red RT/10, and possibly a couple others. Not many at all thats for sure

  14. He's officially excellent for buying a Phaeton.

  15. now its not, there is a red RHD Viper RT/10 thats in England, I saw it once.

  16. He was officially excellent a bit earlier...

  17. Thanks RadAL!

    Hi,

I just came across this thread and thought I should add my info on the Monaco, for what it's worth.

I own the Green Monaco, which is number 011 and was built for me by PBB Design at the time they went bankrupt. SAJJNAFS4ER190061

The confusion on the date is that the base Jaguar is a 1995 6.0L LHD convertible.

As far as I am aware, the Sultans Monaco is the convertible one with a hard top fitted at the front of the photo of three Monacos. I also was told by Paul Bailey, in 2000, that all three Monacos in that photo were destined for Brunai with one for the Sultan himself and the other to go to family members.

When Paul Bailey went bankrupt, he sold the Monaco moulds to a man in Texas who now sells the kit through

    http://www.v12sales.com/Jag-main.html

If anyone has any details on the other Monacos, I would gladly appreciate a PM.

    Kind regards,

    Martin

    Welcome Martin!

Beautiful car... if you could - please make a separate thread with photos and info on your Monaco <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

I'm sure I speak for many here it would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Martin,

Thanks alot for your post! <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> I've seen your car before on your website and I think it's awesome and a very nice example at that. Really clean and great colour. The rearlights on yours are special, right? I don't think any of the first 10 cars have them.

    It's good to hear a confirmation on the 3 Monaco's picture <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A> I think I know the 3 owners of the cars <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

I've got some info on yours, 08 and two red cars (one LHD and one RHD). You probably know about these cars too, but if you don't, just pm me <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  22. saw it once on the internet...

  23. Wow ! All of this cars belong (belonged ?) to the Sultan of Brueni ? How do you know if it belonged to him ?

  24. I'll start up a PBB Design Monaco thread as it seems like there may be a number of people interested and also a few who can fill in the gaps.

I have photos of Monaco 001 which as Red, RHD and has undergone at least one major rework since it first left Paul Bailey.

The rear lights were a special, created by Paul Bailey for my car and was another of the moulds sold to V12Sales in Texas so now available to all (This is a bit of a #%!@ for me as I paid for the development costs of that mould!) ;-)

  25. Spending alot of time, silly me.
