The McLaren F1 is considered by many to be one of the greatest cars of all time and to this day it’s still the fastest naturally aspirated production road car in the world.

With only 106 examples ever built, it’s also safe to say that the McLaren F1 is one of the rarest cars of the modern era. So it pains us to report that one of these rare beauties has come out a little worse for wear following a high speed accident, which took place Germany's A48 autobahn last week.

According to local authorities, the bright blue McLaren F1 was speeding down the stretch of autobahn when it suddenly swerved to avoid slow moving traffic and ending up clipping two parked cars. The maneuver looked to have saved the car from complete annihilation but the damage seen here, although not appearing to be too drastic, is still estimated to cost upwards of $130,000 to repair.

Police have taken details, and the driver is currently being investigated for driving without due care and attention. Fortunately, no-one was injured during the accident.

  3. only 130k to repair? Must have been a light accident.

  4. It can't have been going very fast to hit parked cars and come out with only that much damage. And what were parked cars doing on the highway?

  5. #$%# i love that iteration of the mclaren, that owner has done some rad shit to his car.

  6. Traffic jam?

  7. i wonder by how much it will depreciate because of that. I wouldnt be surprised if it doesnt depreciate though

  8. zero

  9. a ferrari would have managed to stop if it wasnt that it would have catched fire when reaching important speed

  11. Good thing I usually drive at unimportant speed.

  12. Now it's a great oportunity to paint it in a non-ugly colour.

  13. Now's a great time to put on a veilside body kit

  14. Now's a great opportunity to perform auto-fellatio on myself.

  15. Black wheels yes?

  16. Also that is one thing I love about McLaren. They will rebuild it.
