From 1969 to 1975, formula 5000 allowed the confrontation of single-seaters constuites by great names of the competition, like McLaren or March. Since 1968, Sbarro worked out a single-seater meeting the standards of this new formula. This car was been driven by an engine 8 cylinders of 5 liters developing 450 horses. The weak weight of the car enabled him to reach the rather incredible speed of 280 km/h on circuit. Formula 5000 could also run in hill climbs. The aerodynamic study led Sbarro to create a body in the shape of spatula. 1968!Sbarro F5000.Specifications motor in the central position, 8 cylinders, 5000 cm3, 450 hp, 280 km/h.

Sbarro @ Geneva 2008: Sbarro Pendolauto: a motorbike with … four wheels Aware of the dangers inherent in quadbikes because of their very high centre of gravity, the Swiss automobile designer/craftsman has envisaged a quad that leans like a motorbike. So it is much safer and more fun and sporty. “It could lead to a new sporting discipline,” according to Franco Sbarro.
