Whisky usually gives me headaches the next day btw. Only takes one glass. I wonder why. Never happens with other hard liquor.
Funny, but Scotch is one of the only hard liquors that I can drink quite a bit of and never get a hangover and rarely even get drunk off of, though it does smooth me out a bit. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A> Gin, OTOH...
I'm terrible at remembering names but what happened to that Scottish guy who used to post here? I think he used to have a Monty Python avatar.
Jesus #$%#ing Christ. I'm sorry for my non-observance. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
Yeah I'm terrible at that. I just recently found out that I had not noticed that there's this forum member here that I hadn't noticed had written in this thread lol.
those are both not bad. Have you guys tried Woodford Reserve? I've been having a hard time finding a bourbon to beat it, save for Jefferson's 18.
Have not heard of Woodford, but i'll keep an eye out for it. Really like bourbon, think it might be my favorite spirit (or is it a liquor, i dont know the difference)
I knew this already, but wikicopypasta puts it so succinctly. And we know how you appreciate succinct replies. The term spirit refers to a distilled beverage that contains no added sugar and has at least 20% alcohol by volume (ABV). Popular spirits include brandy, fruit brandy (also known as eau-de-vie or Schnapps), gin, rum, tequila, vodka, and whisky. Distilled beverages bottled with added sugar and added flavorings, such as Grand Marnier, Frangelico, and American schnapps, are liqueurs. In common usage, the distinction between spirits and liqueurs is widely unknown or ignored; consequently, all alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine are generally referred to as spirits or liquor.
So how do you guys like to drink your scotch Rocks Straight Whiskey stones chilled stone tumbler I like rocks most of the time unless its something special Often think about getting whiskey stones but never have
Depends on... boubon neat, scotch touch of water or one ice cube or neat if it's good, rye one ice cube skip the stones, I have them. They're shit. Someone's making a lot of money selling rocks.
Once you go Glencairn you never go back. Used one in a bar a couple of times. Need to get a couple of my own.
Usually neat. Sometimes with a splash, especially if it's cask strength something. Around Christmastime, I mix some cask strength into eggnog.
Boil water Nd pit it in a cooler in your freezer top off When it's fully frozen( long time) take it out and let it temper for a few hours and cut it up You can buy these wire things too but I wouldn't go that far
