  2. Scotland is the only part of the UK that can be considered European. The rest is just the UK.
  3. They all suck, really.
  4. I've got English and I'm kind of torn.

but yes...Edinborough is a wicked city
  5. Irish. They out breed the Scottish and Welsh. Most of the people I know in the U.S. have some Irish in them and claim ancestory to the Irish. I was in a room of 3 hispanics, 1 Native American, 2 whites, and an Asian/Black girl. When asked who is part Irish everyone but one of the hispanics raised thier hand. Not so much could be said about the Scottish and Welsh.
  6. Haven't you watched the Highlander, and Braveheart.... geez

  7. A Irish, a English, and a Scottish man all enter an Irish pub, and all being men of good taste order a pint of Guinness. Just as the barkeep places thier perfect pints before each of the three men, three flys to match the three men land in thier pints...
The English man, picks the fly out and his stomach would not put up with such things and pushes his pint back towards the bar and leaves,
The Scottich man being a bit more hardy, looked at his pint funny for a moment, picked the fly out and tossed it, then proceeded to drink his pint...
The Irish man caused a comotion, as he was seen slapping the fly on its back over his pint yelling out at it 'Spit it out ya bastard, thats my pint'
  8. wtf is dat?

Outbreed? Possibly, not considering the ancestry of America. Depends on what period of time you are talking about. Immigration wise, even before 1790, there were 48,000 Scottish immigrants compared to 8,000 Irish.
  10. + a million.
  11. What?

Nobody who'se family goes back that far remembers where they came from <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

E.g. how many people claim "Scottish" or "English" ancestry in North America? Once you've been here a few centuries the attachment is pretty well gone...
  13. Yeah, unless you are like me (a 3rd gen Canadian), its really, well, pointless as you say, because no-one really can pin-point their ancestry. Exactly.
  14. what about an alcoholic tea drinker wearing a kilt?
  15. these sort of threads always raise up some fairly idiotic comments
  17. why do i always have to be the serious one.i need to cut loose some time too.
  18. i wasnt referring to you specifically. more in the direction of wheelman
  19. ahhh...very well then.
  20. Isle of Man.

    wtf poll is this>?!
  21. England, regardless of technically being part of the continent, is not European. Nor is Ireland.
  22. Nor is Germany, France or Italy if you're going to argue that...
  23. wtf? Shut up.
  24. Oh come on, you don't even know what you're POV really is? On what basis do you declare the UK (England, Wales, etc.) not part of Europe?
