I hope you didn't take my post as an attack towards your comments, I don't really spend my time getting down like that on forums. I was more or less thinking/typing outloud over the subject. To each their own.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and is entitled to share it. However, he passed judgement on Jason and his taste and he is in no position to do so. Furthermore, it annoys me when people tell someone how they should or shouldn't spend their money when their advice isn't sought.
My opinion is that the mods were tacky and flashy, never did I pass judgment on him, just on the way he changed his car. Stop being such a bloody hypocrite. That was my opinion and I am entitled to say what I feel, and why can I pass judgment on his taste ? Because the good lord gave me a pair of fully functioning eyes in order to do so. I didn't tell him that his money was badly spent, I made a comment about his mods and I told him that his excuse was lame. Hell if he had said "I did it because I wanted it to look outrageous" I would have nothing against the comment.
for the record, I did. For the record, I love the wheels. Comment all you like. Dont really give a shit. As many have stated, only ONE opinion counts (I never asked for your opinions in the first place, but you know what they say, "opinions are like assholes, everyones got one), and thats mine when it comes to MY car.
The previous owner of this car was a surfer, so I filled it up with sand. I think it suits the theme.
I was about to ask, I can't forget that champaign color. Congrats topcarbon on an amazing automobile. And as always, awesome shots dalhdrin.
I agree, actually. ~90% (or more) of the time I really dislike chrome/polished wheels. However, there are exceptions and I feel this is one of them. Either way, different strokes. The LAST thing I want in this thread is bashing of the cars/owners of the cars. It's one thing to say something isn't your style, it's another to insult the owner because you disagree.
So... who do you have to call to get a shoot set up with the Blastolene? WHAT an automobile.
Haha, no shit. It was a travesty that it sold for so little. I don't know who owns it currently, actually, but hopefully they/he got it back. I spoke with Randy Grubb (the builder) for a little while... cool experience as I love his work and he's a very cool guy.
Woah, that's awesome you got to talk to him. How much did it go for btw? And he needs a website that's worthy of his car and not a geocities version of myspace. http://www.blastolene.com/
$475,000... not chump change, but considering the time/money/skill that went into it and the results, it's not nearly what it should've went for, IMO. And definitely not what he was expecting. It was the "cover car", which usually translates into millions. The idea that someone would pay more for Robosaurus is actually pretty insulting.
i just noticed the gold bolts in the wheels, that's cool. And s the interior a two-tone/ are ther pics of the interior?
