I actually ended up with a number of photos of it. I'm not normally a big fan of yellow, but that particular yellow looked great in the bright sun.
He actually has fantastic taste and is one of the best "collectors" I personally know. Shot his 330 GTS in a studio a bit ago and I asked him if he trailered it to the studio. He said, "Oh, I don't use trailers". This includes driving such cars across the country to participate in rallies and vintage racing in other states.
That's very cool. Good to hear things are going so well <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A>
Haven't posted a link like this in a while, but here's a bunch of Cars and Coffee photos from earlier this month. 51 shots total, including that RS200/R5T2 and 550 Barchetta. http://desert-motors.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=382
Uploaded the full shoot of this wild thing. http://www.desert-motors.com/?p=2571 http://www.desert-motors.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=384
Lovely cartoon feel in those photos. I half expected you to have edited Roger Rabbit into one. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
Wow! That thing is sick!!!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/amazed.gif"></A>
I noticed on one of the rolling shots, the bubble was ajar. Why was that, is that necessary for ventilation? Wouldn't the flow cause big pressure to launch that bubble off of the car and down the highway at speed? EDIT: this shot - http://www.desert-motors.com/cpg/displayimage.php?album=384&pid=14063#top_display_media
its beautifully done. I'm having a hell of a time finding folk to do a slightly chopped windshield for a friend of mine but thats just magical.
thats probably just to get circulation into the car. life would suck driving in a bubble of that size on a hot sunny day without some form of air flow. I assume its essentially fixed at that height so it doesn't go flying
Excellent photo's! That's one fully sick ride. I only would have done the sides differently, a bit cleaner. Maybe a single line like some of the Cadillac Motorama cars. The should make a scifi movie with this and all the other futuristic concepts and customs, like Ghia Futura, Di Dia, Ford Mystere, etc.
