  1. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

Here's my loaner. 2015 328i in what might be the most feminine color combination in the history of the world.

It's a fine car. Didn't realize it was such a big picture.

That "trick" doesn't work anymore here. If we say that one of a family member passed away, the employer will ask a written and signed paper from the funaral home.

  9. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

Lol that's heavy. Thinking about it, the last time I did it was 5 years ago, so I guess he died 3 times in 5 years, not 10!

  10. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

That's because people abused that "reason" to have time off from work.

A family member that dies, here, gives you 5 days paid off. That why people used that reason to have days off.

  11. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

Ah well there's nothing set like a 5-day rule for mourning family members over here. It was for the odd single day off here and there.

Plus another one for the "Funeral" a bit later! Ha

I like to think my grandpa would have seen the funny side <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  13. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

    That's how it is here.
A couple of years ago, when my brother-in-law passed away (RIP François, I miss you man, alot!), my girlfriend needed that signed document to have her day off paid, if not, she would have one day less on her pay cheque.

  14. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

That is a great car. Congrats and enjoy!

Most rational people say Eissenmann is too loud for every day driving. I probably won't do anything until Spring, but I'm leaning towards the RPI GTS system.

I was really surprised at how quick the 328i was, and in sport mode it handled quite well. Made the mistake of letting the gf drive it around all day yesterday, she's sure that'll be her next car now.

So awesome. Pretty major upgrade from other cars you've had (nothing wrong with your other cars, they just...weren't M5s). What prompted the purchase?

    so who'd knew accountant drove cool cars <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/PnutSpecial.gif"></A>

Hah yeah. The same engine as my 125i but with another 10hp or so. Pulls well all the way through to the redline and has pretty much zero turbo lag.
Was your loaner the 8 speed auto?

BMW's launch control was disabled on US models unless you did some secret code thing pushing buttons and flipping switches.

  23. So I was: lets trade vehicles, guess what it is?!

Incorrect, but while the Euros got 4k rpm launch control the US cars got it at 1500 rpm.

Always loved the cars, randomly came across the Fifth Gear review while goofing off on YouTube, decided to look em up, had no idea they had gotten somewhat reasonable.

    Love it!

You got the last of a dying breed of NA high revving engines. You should keep it because it will go up in value. Having said that, what made you get rid of the FJ?
