'shopped 335i

Discussion in 'Artwork - Photoshops and Sketches' started by Archaeopteryx, Dec 9, 2006.

  1. So I found out that I'm not satisfied with the way the 335i looks. The front is nice, but the rear is random. Also, it looks too sleek and not compact enough.

The first picture is the original, just for reference.

The second picture is pretty scary IMO, because the simple rear taillight mod makes it look VERY Lexus/Audi/weird.

The third picture is the finished shop. I'm sure you can find quite a lot of faults with it, but I didn't do it to be the most impressive photoshop, but rather because I wanted to see how much I could improve it. Things I did to it include:
    - change rear lights
    - enlarge rear wheelarch + wheel
    - enlarge front wheel
    - enlarge rims
    - quad exhaust pipes
    - CSL style bootlid
    - some more minor things, colour changes, detail relocation.

Please post comments and suggestions for improvement, and feel free to use it as a base for something of your own/improve it in your own way.

  2. nice, your interpretation of the M3?

  3. In some aspects yeah, but it's still missing some things to be an M3, like the side air outlet behind the front wheel.

    I guess you could call is a 335CSL <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  4. double pipes and wheels look great, the lights are pretty good but i dont like the bootlid.

  5. Better?

  6. I don't think the new M3 will have the vent on the front fenders.

  7. Ah. That might be.

Then I guess this is my interpretation of the new M3 after all, although the rear lights will probably be the same as on the 335i <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  8. It should

  13. pshop that ugly shark fin off the roof <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

    otherwise looks good

  14. can you try it with the sedan lights, and the E46 lights?

  15. Just ONE change, angle the bootlid UP a little, as if it had a CSL style trunk but not to THAT level. Just add a hint of an upward angle on the bootlid and its gold.

  16. It's a bit rough, but you get the idea.

  17. #3 looks nice.
