    heirloom is just a gimmicky name like organic or GMO-free
  7. Organic actually has legal requirements. "All Natural" is fairly meaningless though.

    Another good way is to fill a big bowl full of water then gently debride the kernels with your fingers. The kernels sink, whereas the pith floats and you can just pour out the water and the waste at the end.

  10. In different country the definition changes but generally the seed/whatever lineage has to be traced back between 50 and 100 years.
