Yeah, it's crazy. There's always a bunch of people who need the room and don't play anymore, and you end up getting really nice high-quality pianos for next to nothing. I've even seen postings in classifieds listing them as free. Just remember, after you move a piano, you'll need to get a piano-tuner come in to sort it out. Pianos don't react well to being moved. Piano tuners charge 150-200$, no big deal.
Pianos are like pool tables in that regard
Those guys are a bit too tech for me to take in large doses but they are pretty kickass.
