Before you put in that order for the new £225,000 Bentley Azure, you might want to have a look at this.

Our exclusive video footage shows the new Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible undergoing hot-weather testing in California, ahead of its introduction next month.

Based on the Phantom limousine, the Corniche is shorter and sleeker, but this is still not a car for shrinking violets, with a huge grille and long, motor-powered rear-opening doors that are bound to grab attention.

Beneath its elegant canvas hood, the Corniche is a proper four-seater, with a suitably sybaritic cabin to cosset its wealthy occupants – the car is expected to cost £250,000, around the same as its saloon sibling.

2. I have a feeling I'll love this car.

If it's anything like the 100EX, which it certainly will be, I will love it.
3. Looks good.

4. Rolls-Rocks
5. It's mammoth.
For those who like it, do you think today's Rolls will still look good in ten years? Twenty? I don't.
6. Yes they will.
7. la verdad
8. They don't look good now, and they certainly won't look better in the future.
9. I agree with you.

As a side note, I've sat in the back of a Maybach 62, and it's amazing. The Phantom doesn't do it for me on any level.
10. So the blowed up korean car does it for you, and the Phantom doesn't ?
11. I'm so glad they're calling it the Corniche.
12. Recline the 62's seat as far as it will go for yourself and see what you think. It's a nice way to ride in a car.

I'm not saying I like either car - I think they are both pretty bloated in their own way, certainly both over the top, and there are other far cheaper sedans that give you a lot of car, like, say an S600.
13. Grade A stupid right here.
14. Here are a couple of pics. I got to ride in an M to a fundraiser for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in 2005. It was a nice place to be, no doubt about it.
15. The Maybach lacks character, IMO it has nothing to do with Maybachs of old.
16. I agree with you there.
17. I agree with you there. It is functional. That is it.
18. Word

Ontopic: I think I'd take the Azure over this Corniche.
19. I would do the same, if the Azure didn't underwent the last facelift
20. Do you have a pic of the most recent Azure?
21. I see cars like this all the time in Switzerland. Personally I think the price is sick. The Bentley looks good to me but the Roles Royce? nah. It looks too much like a tank. About 50 years ago Roles was awesome now they all look boring & honestly less sexy than the Chrysler 300c. This style just doesn’t float my boat. I am sure some will love it because of its interior & the fact that it will make them feel like somebody having all the comforts of home while being driven around. Sad isn’t it? If I want this feelling all I need is my Palm Treo 650 and to just tell my wife drive. I get to have it navagat her, watch movies, surf the internet , play games, talk on the phone, listen to mp3s & I don’t even need to pay for all the other services she offers.... yeah life is good at the bottom
22. I believe that this is it
23. The 100 EX was so good..and so very special. I loved that engine, and BMW will never release information...
