Spy photographers caught prototypes of both coupe and sedan versions of the new Ford Focus in testing this week. The two-door Coupe will be a new addition to the Focus family, reminiscent of the Escort ZX2.

Both the sedan and coupe will get Ford's new signature three-bar grille. Both vehicles will also get some interesting detailing to the side panels, with a bold character line that sweeps up from the front wheel well to the' beltline, and on to the rear deck. Another chiseled line runs along their lower midsections, adding some more surface development.

This is the first appearance of full, production-spec prototypes for the next-gen Focus, and any hatchback variants have yet to make an appearance. Gallery in the link http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/09/27/spied-ford-focus-coupe-next-gen-sedan/

  2. Looks promising. But from the pictures, the grille more looks less like the 3-bar design on the Fusion and more like... rib bones.

  3. isnt that just another Euro car?!

  4. I'd say this is the model for the USA. What would be the point of another sedan in Europe?

On topic, I loved this kind of coupes similar to the sedan/hatchbacks, just like the previous Astra.

  5. looks like a complete redo on the current platform.

  6. Good, the current Focus models are fugly.

  7. why cant they just send the euro one here...its alot better looking than that or the current focus
