Tomorrow, and I'm so #$%#ed it's not even funny. I don't know anything about null hypotheses, Type-I and Type-II errors, t-tests, chi square tests, regressions, ANOVA... Someone kill me before I fail.
Im in statistics, we jsut finished a whole section on it. no i dont know what im talking about... maybe you should of studied. My point was i know how you feel, shit was hard and isnt easy.
Don't trip. Are they going to give you a set of formulas? If so, just do a bunch of practice problems and you'll be chill.
Ya they will but I'm still sooooo #$%#ed. I'm gonna be like OH NOES <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/amazed.gif"></A>
I'm in Stats and let me tell you, it all depends on who is teaching it. First time I took Stats I, I was due for a failure 3/4 of the way thru the semester and was lucky to get out of the class with just a regular withdrawl and not a withdrawl/failure. I took it again and got a B+ with a much better teacher. Same teacher now for Stats II/Decision Making and the class continues to be a sinch. I can help you with hypo testing, t-table tests, and chi-square as soon as I get home tonight and look in my notebook.
This subject SO depends on the teacher I can recall doing pretty well once I changed instructor edit: however, good luck
Both of my stats teachers were South African. One was really boring and taught from the textbook - gave no homework and didn't require attendance. The second made sure you were at class everyday, had homework every week, and would make people say crazy Afrikaans phrases in class which somehow had something to do with what he was teaching. Like I said, I nearly failed with the first one.
I took stats, got a 4.0, and didn't learn a damn thing. I just learned how to do the problems he assigned, and the test was EXACTLY like the homework. I also learned how to hide a newspaper from a teacher really well.
Ok! You're: A) In a math oriented program B) The land of inflated marks C) Your class must have been shit if the homework = exams
I am in a math oriented program, but it was just a shitty teacher. He didn't make the class/tests hard enough to have to learn stuff, so no one did. I actually did learn a few things, I mean, you can't get through ANY class without, there was just no point in learning concepts because the teacher didn't challenge us. I'm glad I got the good grade, but i kind of wish I had a better teacher, so I actually learned stuff. Oh well, its just stats.
Its not super important for my major, if it was, I'd probably have to take more than one class. Plus, I learned enough to get by.
