Greetings, I am going to pitch a VideoSifting page for Supercars.net. Do you guys have any convincing videos that would make this work?

    Here's an alpha page:

    http://www.supercars.net/videos.html

    Thanks!

  3. Oh this is sweet. How would we submit/add videos? Will you create an upload module or will the videos have to already exist on YouTube/Google etc?

  4. It would strictly be links to youtube and other repository video sites.

The videos would be submission based. I'll add those two, Victory by Deisgn is one of the best.

  5. hi official galleries. hows things?

  6. So this is designed to replace the Videos and Sounds forum?
Or are we to post in both sections?
Or is it reserved for the cream of the crop, so to speak?

  7. this is great idea <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

thanks naranhito for posting this..awesome stuff

  9. we should be albe to upload some directly to sc.net, I have like 10gb worth of videos I'm about to delete soon.

  10. This is pretty good, but I hope it gets moderated good too because there will always be idiots submitting some idiot ricer vid's

  11. Okay, a couple of things:

1- Would be good if we could add a comment/description when we submit the link, to give more info about the content of the video.

2- A "Discuss" or "Comment" link, linking to a thread where we could talk about the video would be good too.

3- A way to sort them by Category would be nice.

    4- A Search engine.

The Victory by design video is one of the most awesome videos i have ever seen! Do you know where to get a high res version?

  15. I think because of youtube crappy video quality it may seem like a cheap gimmick on an established car site like this one. I think we should try for quality first, I know what your going to say. Where to keep them? I dont know.

  16. It's also not very permanent, so alot of the links may die or become unusuable after a period of time, which could be really frustrating down the road. You can't really store someone elses videos and display them on a site recieving advertising revenue though, wouldn't want the gavel coming down on SCN!

  17. the FIA GT pileup was at the Olton Park circuit in the UK

  18. on "Mustang Beats Viper" i believe the viper won by .03? 12.37 time to 12.4.. unless i am looking at it wrong. It won off the line and maybe to the 1/8 mile.

edit-unless its 13.37, makeing it lowest viper ever.

  19. stock MR2 Turbo's run 13.6 so that would deffo be a slow viper... lol

  20. Just submitted something and it worked <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A> Cool feature!

Walter Roehrl - Porsche GT3 - Nurburgring Nordschleife in Wet Conditions

On a wet track Walter Roehrl drives some lucky winners around the Nordschleife during the Bilstein Performance Days on Juli 30th, 2007. Tricky conditions demand everything from the Rallye World Champion and worn tires are not of much help.

  23. ET doesn't include driver reaction time. If the Mustang driver got more than a .03 second jump on the Viper driver than the Mustang driver won with a "hole shot", slower ET, better reaction time.
