  8. Seriously, face it, Quebec doesn't have real cars =D

  9. I know.<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

Seriously, how can you guys tell that's a replica?

  10. I got distracted by the somewhat chromy rims.. I'm not sure if the woman on the steering wheel is stock.. then also, would you put "little bastard" on a car that's worth $xxx.xxx? =)

  11. there is actually a speedster in James Dean suicidal livery, but this is certainly not it

  12. That must be an expensive replica since it looks like it's being protected by a plastic bubble.

  13. its clearly a tent in a car gathering

  14. Because Quebec lacks passion.

  15. I love replica cars. You can get some wicked replicas for pretty decent prices. Best part is often times they're better than the originals as far as performance and features goes.

  16. most definately is there are no 550's in Quebec.

  17. Replica, no doubt after seeing the interior. Still, I'd love to own a replica like this.

  19. The interior gives it away easily

edit: this is how the interior of a real one looks, way older

  20. Wasn't the name of James Dean's 550 "Lil' Bastard"?

  21. yes, but a few days later it changed its name to dead bastard

  22. I refuse to make real/fake judgements on 550 Spyders based on photos anymore... I've eaten too much humble pie already. That said, there are some real easy tells if you see one IRL. Most obvious is the body... real ones are thin aluminium; fakes are mostly fiberglass.

Well you can see parts of the chassis inside of the car. And the chassis of the car posted seems to be like this one: http://www.thunderranch.com/550/550%20frame.jpg which is pretty different from a real one as you can see in the pics I posted above

  24. yes, but it was totally destroyed and never restored

You assume all 550 Spyders look alike; they don't. The early factory racers were much different from later customer cars (like Dean's "Lil Bastard") & even those differ from one another in subtle ways from year-to-year. So comparing one real one w/ one fake one is essentially pointless.
