That's the price for the base model Solstice... there's no way the info's correct, or they'd lose money like no tomorrow.
This car uses the same platform, engine and drivetrain as the new Saturn Sky. The Sky actually looks alot much agressive than the Solstice, but I wouldn't know if a Saturn would sell as good as a Pontiac.
Base MSRP $20,490* before incentives Limited availablility. Solstic as shown above: $22,040* before incentives. qoutes from pontiac.com, no pricing info the the GXP. but honestly, shouldn't the new GXP have the moto that should have been in it in the first place. and neither one of them qoutes are for the GXP either, just the normal Solstic roadster. but hey it'll have 3.73 gearing.
12.9 in the quarter is a good question...that would put it mid-to-low 4's to 60mph. The S2000 weighs about 100lbs less (so it's somewhat close), has 20 less HP and about 100 less lb-ft of torque. Is that good enough to rocket it 1 second faster to both 60 and the quarter? It still doesn't really have a trunk, one of the biggest flaws an auto maker can make. I can't wait to test drive one, though. 8)
The Mallet Solstice with a V8 surpasses the performance numbers on this car only by a tick...and that costs $56,000. I know where my money would go.
