The 24 Hours of Le Mans is next Saturday, June 11 and it could be another classic!

This is the first time that Audi and Peugeot come to Le Mans with new cars, with a more or less equal level of development, so there's a ton we don't know about these cars speed and reliability.

LMP2 seems to have gone back to its routes of being more on the frail side. This may be yet again a battle of who can last the distance? Nissan supplying engines is the big news in the class though.

In GT, the class has been broken up into two classes, GTE-Pro and GTR-Am, one for all pro efforts with new cars and one for more amateur efforts. I like this idea as it gives the gentleman driver a shot at winning whereas only the top factory teams really had a shot before.

Below are links to everything you'll need to know about the race.

Also, many links are from www.dailysportscar.com. It's basically THE best sports car racing website on the internet. It is a pay/subscription site, but they're offering free content for Le Mans. If you like what you see, I'd definitely suggest subscribing!

Too bad it looks like a giant turd and they've already blown up like 9 engines...

There's not much hope for them next weekend.

  16. I'm going there yeyeah! So excited

  17. There are still two cars on the reserve list as well.

Robertson Racing's 2nd Ford GT (the one with the all-pro driver lineup) is first on the list, and the Young Driver Aston Martin V8 Vantage is second. If any car, LMP or GT drop out, the Ford gets in, and I sincerely hope that happens!

  20. That Evora looks sweet.

  21. Too bad they've got very little chance of success. Finishing the race will be like a victory for them at this stage of their program.

  23. Yeah, I am always just glad to see more manufacturers represented. Chev/Ferrari/Porsche are great, but it is always cool to see other cars too.

  24. We're not doing a Le Mans guessing game...

  25. But unlike you, he has enough Le Mans passion to post picks without expecting any pride-based gain in return<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
