I'm still really interested in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, but I'm concerned about these issues now...

- Health system like COD4 (it better not be in multiplayer!)
- Possible respawning enemies (the worst part about COD4)
- A more serious tone/story than the first game
- Occasional linear/scripted events like in COD4
- Revised respawn system (I hope it's not like COD4)

Full preview here -->
4. Youre hate for cod4 is hilarious, even though COD4 is superior to BC in every possible way, if they were smart they WOULD copy it
5. AWESOME!!!

Though with a name like Code Jakob, it should have been obvious that it would be about Volvo. They better have the 850 Estate touring cars in there.
6. I don't hate COD4--I've owned it since Day 1.

But it does bother me that so many developers are blindly copying it instead of blazing their own trail. Regenerative health makes sense in games like Halo, but I'm not a fan of it in games like Battlefield. And that's not just because I play the Support (medic) class. I like BF:BC's open sandbox gameplay and I'll be pissed if the sequel is a linear experience like COD4.

Basically, I just want variety. I can play COD4 when I'm in the mood, but sometimes I want something different.
7. Bizarre Creation's new racer revealed, called Blur

Via French gaming magazine Joypad, it has been revealed that Bizarre Creations will be doing something a bit different for their next racing effort. That next game will be titled Blur.

Even though Blur contains your regular race to the finish-line gameplay, it will up the ante by allowing use of various weapons against opponents. The weapons will include the likes of mines and shields, which hints the game will be something like Wipeout - but on four wheels.

The game will also allow cars to get much more damaged than other racers on the market, with multiple crumple zones on all the cars that react differently to each collision. Races in the game will take place is various real life cities, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and more.

A huge part of the game will be multiplayer focused, with stats getting tracked via unique identity cards for each player. The option to post challenges to other players will be available too, as will normal racing sessions.

The game is set to be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 by the end of 2009.

9. i agree with luke. not that bf is superior to cod4, but on cods flaws. I hate respawning enemies, and open sandbox games are awesome because they invite so much creativity and have a lot of replay value. i played through cod4 once and it was fun, but i have no desire to do it again because it would be the same thing over again. but ive played through each hitman mission like 15 times.
10. Dear Lawd! Luke is still talking about CoD4 1.5 years after it's release, and about BC almost 1 year after release.

Looks like I didn't miss much in my absence, lol.

And I actually just discovered a new video today highlighting BF:BC's HDR audio technology...

12. hahah, mac777 makes me laugh every time I read one of his posts. Every single time. I kinda want to meet him, but I think I'll upset him because I'll be laughing at him the entire time.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 coming to PSN and Live Arcade.

But why make a teaser site? This game was released on ... PS2? or PS1.
I think we're in for another HD REMIX!!!
WOOO HOOO!!!!
Capcom is becoming more and more awesome this gen!

Bionic Commando ReArmed, SSF2T HDR, SF4, and now this.

It would be better if they remade MvC2 with the Street Fighter IV engine.

17. Have any of you gotten your hands on the Final Fantasy 13 demo yet?
18. What is it with nerds also being pervs? Ugh.
19. Why the hell aren't there any games like GTA but with good graphics.

I just got Saints Row 2 on PC and the graphics are shit + it runs like shit.

I read some 'The Godfather 2' reviews and the screenshots looked like shit too. Same for Maffia 2.

The demo is fantastic. My current destruction record is $71.49 million.

I'll definitely be renting this game for Le Mans weekend.
22. theyre not getting any so they draw it
23. Holy shiiiit i forgot that UFC game is coming out for 360 soon

I need this game
24. When did the demo come out? i just checked on Xbox marketplace and i cant find it
25. Saints Row isn't too bad, but it does run rather badly. Sandbox games have a much larger level loaded in memory, I suppose.
