The GM Vortec engines are very good!!!

  1. They installed the Vortec engine into a off shore power boat and they had no problems at all so now many people in the APBA use the vortec engine. And when I say put it into an off shore power boat I mean a 45 foot quad engine 5,000 horse power 170MPH boat that really takes a beating, it gets tipped over and slamed by 10 foot waves.

5000 horsepower and only 170 MPH? What did they just install the engines and not tune them?

u no nothing. in the water thers a lot of drag. a 45 foot would weight about 14 000 pounds. i have a sea doo islandia an it is 240hp but only goes 60mph. thats fast for on the water considering it is 22 feet lon and it ways about 1.5 tonnes.
    good job gammer55
