Vaughn Gittin Jr. is intimately familiar with extracting every last bit of performance from the Ford Mustang, so it's no surprise the FoMoCo has tapped the Formula Drifting ace to create a limited edition 'Stang for the 2011 model year.

Based on the new 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT, the RTR package boasts a comprehensive list of upgrades, including new springs and shocks that drop the Mustang 1.5 inches over specially designed 19-inch RTR wheels each wrapped in Falken FK452 high-performance rubber. A larger rear sway bar aids rotation and cross-drilled and slotted rotors should keep things cool when hauling the massive coupe to a halt. Under the hood, the only major modification is a K&N high-flow air filter, but combined with a Ford Racing ECU tune and a set of new mufflers, the breathing mods are good for an extra nine horsepower, netting a total of 421 ponies.

On the outside, the RTR benefits from a front splitter, aluminum spoiler and a graphics package, while the interior gets a smatter of badges on the doors, shifter and floormats. The whole package will set you back $7,895 and Ford plans to offer a V6 version later this year. Head over to MustangRTR.com for more details, and make the jump for a video and the complete press release.

  9.
  10. That's the bast looking stang I've seen in a while. Not sold on the stripes, but the rest looks perfect. Glad they kept the quarter window, too many kits cover that up.

  11. Adjustable chin aerodynamics is kind of lame. Everything else is perf.

  13. Mustangs will ass rape Camaros to death.

  14. the only design problem with this car is the question of what future direction they can go from here. I dont see what they could improve on this almost perfect mustang.

  15. they might restyle the roofline after the 69-70 mustang, though rear visibility might go to shit

  16. they dont need to change the design. just improve the interior/handling and it will be a decent car.

  17. oh then it will be decent
    oh it doenst handle goodenough

stfu troll and go eat a stinky piugs cum

  18. I saw this and the full carbon fiber edition at SEMA last year. Great looking Mustangs! Not feeling those extra supports on the splitter.

  19. Thats the coolest $30,000 car I've seen.

  20.
  21. More like 40K

  22. Looks awesome.

  23. I chose my Mazda over a 2006 Mustang GT. I honestly can't believe how far the Mustang has come since then in styling, handling, and especially the new engines. I'd take a 2011 Mustang GT over my car any day. Even if it wasn't something as special as this.

  24. If its 40+ its a waste of money
