The SS is gone...I sold it.

1. Well after this week my best buddy is picking up my 2000 Camaro SS and taking it home.

He just got financing on it for 16k which I agreed to...the car was valued at 18 but since I've had problems with a brand new tranny with 3rd gear being messed up I agreed to 16k. I'm sure it's just a shift fork or synchro so I doubt he'll pay a lot of $$$$

But the good thing is, I had the car paid off over the summer so now that's just cash in my pocket. I do think I'm gonna put most of it into the WS6 to pay that off faster and possibly use the rest to help fix up the IROC.

Anyway she's gone and to be honest I'm not gonna miss her...probably cuz I'll see it every weekend with it being my buddies car now
2. Do you own any crappy cars? At one point in time you owned three F-Bodies. And not just regular ones. Top of the line in all cases. Don't you have a beater or something or do you drive a badass car all the time?
3. At least you still have the T/A.
4. thats sucks. Kind of weird that your friend is buying your car. I know it happens alot but then you cant really brag about it.
5. Wow, why so many f-bodies. One would seem to do the trick.
6. You are a GoD
7. I hope your friend treats your baby well. Will you still have visitation rights? If not, then trash one of his cars.
8. Im looking for an old IROC, since I also sold mine.
9. It's like everybody is selling f-bodies...
10. Own crappy cars??? No...not at all..the SS was not a crappy car at all.

But I did have bad luck with it...I didn't really pay attention when I bought it, but the original tranny sucked...I raced it 2 years ago when it was stock in Bowling my best time of 13.17 but that same day the car wouldn't go into 3rd..and got stuck in 4th. So I bought a new tranny for it at D & D motorsports...not after a month I installed it I believe the syncho got #$%#ed up because now I could shift into 3rd...but couldn't downshift...I also had to baby it into 3rd, so no speedshifting from there....No doubt about it the car was a money pit...and I was always saying the moment I paid it off I was gonna sell it. It really is a good car...but those Tremecs are made in Mexico and really are kinda crappy.

The IROC is in no way a POS either...the alternator went out, and I just said f-uck it and put it up for the year because I want to take it apart and paint it the right way.

I did get a 2000 WS6 and I'm pretty happy with that car have to understand the biggest problem with these cars is that they're used cars...and everyone beats on these things no matter how low the miles are on them...and of course the more you beat on them the more likely things will wear out.

I used to own a Tacoma for a beater...but I have a company car that I drive during the week so I don't drive the cars all the time.

I hope that clarified things for ya.
11. Since I had the car paid off he's always wanted to get his hands on it...he couldn't get a loan at first but he got a cosigned loan and now it's his.

As far as bragging goes...I still have the WS6 and to most people here they think it's a better looking of the two, plus now that I have less bills and more disposable cash there are some plans for this one.

N20 anyone?
12. In my opinion the SS has more potential to look more like a muscle car than the WS6, I recieved far more compliments on my SS as apposed to my old T/A.
13. I agree the SS has a more aggressive look in my opinion, but on the other hand I love the RA hood on the WS6.
14. I wasn't saying they were crappy cars (I own a '99 SS myself). I was just commenting on how you owned three badass cars at the same time.
15. Well I've had the IROC for a long time right out of college...that car was paid for...and I found an LT1 motor from a 95' Z28 one day when I was looking for seats at a salvage yard for my I bought it...had help installing it. And that was the birth of the LT1 IROC.

Then when I got my first job as a programmer at Reynolds and Reynolds in Dayton OH...I got stupid and impatient and literally bought the car a month after I got the job. It wasn't smart but I splurged...Over the years I got the car paid off...had the problems with it and rarely drove it. And as far as the WS6 goes...well a buddy of mine told me about it where he was living...said it was for sale...and you can ask a lot of people I talk to AIM around here I was always willing to sell the SS. So one thing led to another and I just had to get that was a great deal. And finally My buddy got to buy my car. So that is the story and soap opera of my cars
16. You work for R+R? My job everyday is to convince dealers not to buy their hardware from you guys.

Not that you do it or anything, being a programmer, but your sales guys really bend dealers over...
17. GoD? who is he?
18. That was my first job...I don't work there anymore bro
