  1. This looks like a Tuscon Speed 6. What the #$%# were they thinking?
Pontiac needs a new design team........<!-- Signature -->

HAHAHAHAHA!!! You can't rip off TVR...there is no way anybody besides maybe Panoz could come even close to the originalty of TVR. Maybe it looks kinda like a wanna-be TVR, but don't worry nobody will rip off TVR completely cause it will be obvious if somebody tries to. People will laugh and say "that's the biggest wanna-be car I've ever seen".

  3. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

i think they ripped off nissans new Z car....their styling cues are to similar...

  4. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

They didn't rip off any car. It doesn't even look like any of those cars you guys talked about.<!-- Signature -->

  5. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

Na I reckon the shape looks a bit like the Tamora Convertible.

  6. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

My first thoughts were of an old studebaker, but i can see where your comin from with the TVR. Original, it isn't, but i still like it.

  7. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

quasi-tuscan speed six it is, but with the split-trapezoid grill lowered facing directly forward and mounted on the bonnet it reminds me of an Opel Speedster a bit more. I tell all o' ya, I cant stand Pontiac! They overstylize their cars beyond a line and then they make all the cars look the same. Get original, Pontiac, and make some cleaner cars with REAL potential! <!-- Signature -->

Where have I seen this car from Pontiac?? Ecotec I4, 6-speed and others. Well I do like this car a lot. I hope to see it on the road someday. Would need a bit more power outta that Ecotec though, 240hp is not enough. It is still nice styling and must be a blast to drive. Pontiac is really picking themselves up outta the gutter. Cya in my rear view

there have been so many different cars, concept and production, that eventually, you will see some of the same design elements in a number of different cars. this concept is designed to be a sporty car, in looks and performance, and most of the cars that this is supposedly a rip off of are sports cars. similar design cues will create a similar sporty image to many people, and thats what GM was probably trying to do. it is refreshing to see a pontiac without loads of ribbed plastic cladding on the sides though.

this car looks pretty good i think. so damn underpoweded though. <!-- Signature -->

That's what I think too!!!!! Although when I saw it it reminded me of an MGB GT, but obviously they didn't "rip it off"<!-- Signature -->

  12. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

It looks more like a Buick lacrosse to me

  13. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

Yeah I can see a little bit of tvr in it. But eggy87 is right, "there is no way anybody besides maybe Panoz could come even close to the originalty of TVR". I can also see why people think it looks like the nissan Z, but my first thoughts when I saw this car reminded me of the old 1967 toyota 2000gt with a bit of steriods pump in it. And I would still prefer the 2000gt. What do you think?

  14. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

    what the hell?
thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard
you might as well say that they're also ripping off the first car made by having 4 wheels an a windshield

  15. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

yah it does look a little like the TVR
but not the speed 6 more liek the red rose edition
the speed six is possibly on my top 10 best loooking cars
but performance??? not really it doesn;t have the speed of a bugatti or the accelaration of the viper venem hennessey 800TT
but all and all id buy it cause u could do endless things if u wanted to fix it up

  16. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

Well of course it doesn't perform as well..
This car is supposed to be set to cost bout $25,000 USD if they produce it =)

LOL..lets see how many times those other cars cost rite? =P

    cmon...
there are several unique- Pontiac design cues in this car, like the divided grille and the twin fog lights in the lower part of the front end, plus I'd say even the concept itself is very pontiac-ish, make a performance car and price it below the competition...

  19. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

I don't think it looks like any of those cars really(IMO), i think the back lights sort of look like the Nissan Zs though, a bit of Crossfire around the front(IMO), but my eyes aren't that great so you never know <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><!-- Signature -->

  20. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

It is obvious that this car looks similar to others...They are trying to make a car which has good looks, and that car shape is what is provided in the Solstice, TVR, Opel Speedster, many other cars! They all look like each other beacuse they have the rounded shape, which is what we like. Big deal!

  21. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

I agree with the other guy. It looks good and all why not keep it at that? Besides, where can you get a car that looks this good and this much power of around $14k?? I thought the firebird had more bang for the buck but this takes the cake. Noted, it doesnt have any powerfeatures whatsoever but its still pretty damn cheap.<!-- Signature -->

  22. Re: They Ripped Off TVR!!!!!!

Those who are saying it is underpowered, well keep in mind its only a 4 banger. 240hp for a 4 cyl is good in my book. I would like to see maybe an inline 6 though.<!-- Signature -->
