Damn right. This is an amazing car. My uncle owned one.....god I wish I was born when he had it.

Amazingly fast, although I here it was a great street racer. But no much for the track. I've been told it had trouble turning corners with speed. Just mean't for straight racing.

    Either way an amazing car it was!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/cool.gif"></A>

why is a 429 only putting out 375 hp? i mean mopar's 426 hemi put out 500 hp and the l88 vette put out 600. why cant ford catch up?

ummm........well as with most cars in the 60s - the early 70s, they under rated the motor. just like the 426. it was done because insurance was high on high hp cars. i'm not sure, but i did hear that this car had a smaller carb than the boss 302 though. either way though, this car was a monster. if you had 1, it was soooooooooooo easy to make it much faster. not like it was slow the way it came.......

  21. Re: This Car has Balls.

yes, this car had a very small carb, and a very mild cam. it was made mostly to get the engine legal to be in racing, because you have to had to have 500 cars made to have the engine available for racing. the HP was underrated, but it would have been much more with a couple small changes in parts.

I love this car. The Boss Mustang's (302, and 429) are probably my favorite cars. I was thinking of getting a Boss 302, and maybe restore it. I think their really sweet looking cars.
