  5. Re: This car is sweet

Sorry dude im not given up my car.

I have to agree that a V8 would be nice but im satisfied with 350hp as it is!

  6. Re: This car is sweet

How much do these cars go for, anyway?

  7. Re: This car is sweet

I was thinking about selling mine. It's in perfect condition but i love it too much!!

  8. Re: This car is sweet

damn, v6 400 hp?!?! dats da shit......

  9. Re: This car is sweet

But the v8 would be heavier, and it wouldn't be as good to handle.

btw: I think itŽs 360bhp, isn't it? at least the European version is...<!-- Signature -->

No. its 340. the later e34 m5's were enlarged to 3.8 litres and booseted torque and gave a good horsepower gain from 315 to 340. its a beauty. the new m5 ha a 400hp V8 and some tuned oes have even more.i like the e28 M5 the best.it was a real wolf in sheeps clothing. but if you come to think of i arent all the M cars are wolves in sheeps clothing?

V6? are you nuts? BMW never made v6 for their own cars. Inline six - thats the philosophy of those bavarians. V6 will never be as good, beacuse of the balancing shafts allover the engine, that "eat" all the power.

  12. Re: This car is sweet

It has always been about preformance and engines for BMW.
They have won the best engine prize for at least 5 times, wich is more than any other engine maker.

I agree, the inline six is what makes BMW BMW, it is as important to them as the horizontally opposed engines in those other wile germans, you know who I talking about.<!-- Signature -->

I bet it's still better than your car...

  15. Re: This car is sweet

This thing is kool but what is better this or a 1992 mb 500e?

  16. Re: This car is sweet

This car is sweet but it is extremely rare and hard to find. The inline 6 engine seemed to be doing fine, but I love the new M5 V8!!!<!-- Signature -->

Hard to find ? I don't know in the US but in Europe it's quite easy to find one of these babies.<!-- Signature -->

Seeing this, I'd expect more from the new M5.<!-- Signature -->

This easily outhandles it and has better power. Definitely a better all around car. However, as someone else was saying, they are very difficult to come by in the US. I've only seen about 10 on the road in my life (at least that I remember, since they can be hard to notice if they have different wheels).

They didn't put a V8 in it due to the weight issue. They were in the E34 540i's which came in '94, but before then BMW was obviously set on their glorious I6's.
