This vs Bugatti Veyron

    The Bugatti recorded the highest top speed at 253.2 MPH Top Gear tested it and said that the tires would only last 15 minutes and the fuel runs out in 12! So at 273 MPH they would need even better tires and hope that it's stable at that speed, the Veyron was very solid according to Top Gear.   2. I doubt the aero gets much more mileage than the veyron does,despite being a lot lighter,on the official site they seem to have neglected to include fuel tank sizes which makes it seem like its a very small tank indeed.
    Getting 1180bhp out of any engine is bound to use up a considerable amount of fuel.

  5. Proof of the hennsey's record would be nice,as for the sledgehammer corvette it wasnt running on road legal fuel or road legal tyres,and was only a one off as opposed to a production car.

    They are only going to make 25 Ultimate aero TT's,which seems too few to be classed as a production car,especially seeing as all its nearest rivals are making more like 2-300 hundred examples rather than next to none.

  7. A badly built Diablo, in my opinion I really dont see it in this car. But who would really want to pay over 1.4 million dollars (plus taxes) for the Veyron. The Aero, to make its 1180 uses a V-8 with 2 turbo's not a W-16 with quad turbo's. The Aero costs less, weighs less, and makes more power with a smaller engine. And i'm sure i'll get heck for this post, but I have my own opinion

  9. Yeah I Sorta favor the CCXR over the Aero but I do like them both. The CCX and the CCXR in my mind look better then the Aero. But both have great performance great cars in my mind but yeah I sorta forgot about the CCXR. Wonder when they might test the CCXR..

  13. having a ttv8 over a quad turbo w16 does not make it better engineered. to produce a similar output with less turbos and cyclinders is not proof of engineering, there are 2.0 L chevy engines tuned to produce huge amounts of horsepower, it does not make it better engineered. what it DOES mean is that there is more stress on the aero's engine, making it less reliable. Of course there is the arguement that with more parts the veyron is less reliable, but with this much horsepower more parts would mean less stress on each part. the veyron has a superior design because it can do 250 mph while stable, and in control. I suspect (although i have not driven and cannot confirm) that the aero tt would be a mess at 250mph. furthermore comparing these cars is not quite fair. a aero tt is like a 911 gt3, its meant for speed. the veyron does the speed but it also accomplishes it with high luxury and style. in contrast to the aero's crude looks, the veyron looks sophisticated. granted it is not the best looking car, but at least it does not look cheap and under-designed. from an economical point of view, the veyron is likely to sky rocket in value, the aero tt it is hard to say.

  16. I would like to see the Veyron's record done away with. Its very possible that 260+ will be the new mark.

    And what about the Caparo T1??? Acceleration records to be broken?...

  20. Are you forgetting that weight actually has very little to do with top speed? It really only affects how long it takes to get to that top speed.
     
  21. nah you would need something like drag tyres to handle that much horsepower, or the tyres ill jst be shredded within seconds

  24. Weight on cars DOES NOT affect top speed for the last time. Its the POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO.

    If you have absolutely no understanding of the simplest basics of mechanics, why are you trying to convince us with that power to weight bullcrap.
