And again, let me shut you up, your SirHiss uses NOS to get the 1/4 mile of 7.8

http://www.dodge-vipers.com/sirhissinfo.html

read what it says at the bottom of the page under Modifications

2. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

"And how much times did the 800 and 1000TT break down before they got those stats? 10? "

I still don't know why ppl assume that vipers break down, because they really don't.

"And if I remember correctly, when they tested the Godzilla, it was using street tires, NOT cheater slicks, imagine what it would be able to do with slicks, AWD?"

Go to the link you gave on page 7:

"Driver Glen Suckling has perfected his 160k/ph burnouts to generate maximum heat into the Mickey Thompson E/T drag tyres, but even so, the monstrous "Godzilla" fights for traction as full power is made in 2nd gear- it may not be the cleanest run, but is impressive to watch!"

"Any Supra, Skyline or even 180Zx can pull those times, its just matter of gearing properly"

So basically, Vipers have the proper gearing while Supras and Skylines don't.

3. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Vipers are geared for acceleration and Supras and Skylines are geared for track racing

4. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

So is that why the viper can get times like this?

Viper GTS:
Lateral Acceleration: 1.01g
Braking 60-0: 122 ft
Slalom Speed: 72.4 mph

5. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Those stats have nothing to do with gearing, but to say the Viper is any less geared for racing than a Supra is just total bull shit.

6. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

THE VENOM SUKCKSSSSSS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

2000 TVR Cerbera Speed 12

8. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

umm... okay. Why are you in this forum, newb?

9. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

(this is all i could find, but the 800tt would beat the speed 12 off the line)

800tt:
0-60: 2.43

TVR 12:
0-60: 3.2

BTW, if you think the Venom is a bad car, THEN DON'T POST ON THIS FORUM.

10. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

ok fine but ur are still avoiding the point. i asked for proper and accurate stats from a site. but wat u did is go on and on about breaking down and me comparing it to a 1998 because i couldnt fine the stats for a 2004 skyline. and if u read i didnt compare it to a 98 i compared it to all stock skylines. yet u still havent shown any stats for the 2004 skyline leaving me to beleve that it is behind the viper in stats. godzilla with out cheater slicks getting its times. but as some one else pointed out that it did do it on cheater slicks. so imagine it with out slicks. ill bet near the viper. plus its a made dragster. is it street legal??? is it made for track racing???? you may all say vipers cant handle but ive shown countless times where the vipers handles better than some ferraris and lamborghinis. but the godzilla if i remeber correctly was made specificly for drag racing. and for the skylines supra and 180Zx not being geared properly. CONGRATULATIONS YOU JUS MADE URSELF LOOK LIKE A DUMBASS. here you are in this forum beefin up skylines and other jap cars when you go out and say that they arent geared for racing. nice contradiction. (excuse my spelling)

i agree bluey that guy is a dumb ass if he ever says anything like that again we should go over to his house and slap him.

Vipers Kick Serious Ass

Supras kick decent amount of ass

14. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

i'd have this (just, supra's are wicked too)

15. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

well i'm in the Army...so i can supply the weapons!

16. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

this car is pretty hot

but i cannot believe why they can only squeeze 800 horses out of this baby when they have an eight litre V10 twin turbo under the hood, or is there sopmething I missed?

17. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

correct me if im wrong but most rear wheel drive cars will lose traction and probably spin if you try to floor it while turning.

18. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

acutally this viper is running 14 psi and with 24 psi it makes 1170+hp and psi has nothing to do with technology it goes back to the 60s with the blower street rods the real tech difference is that jap cars have overhead cams and variable timing but if u got rid of the pushrods on a viper and made it over head cams and then got variable timing it would bump the price up a lot more ofcourse ud get a better power band but similar V10 ie. porsche 68degree V10 would cost you appx 2times more. and yea u could tweek this to 30+psi and make 1200 or 1300 horsepower. And a 2.6 L six banger on 30 psi breaks down way more than this V10 on 15psi.

19. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

ACTUALLY, THE VIPER VENOM 800TT's turbos run at 6psi

(page 34 of may 2001 issue of MOTORTREND "Hennessey told us he needs only 6lb of boost pressure fed to a Venom 600 V-10 to pull the 800 big ones. He confdently added that, under the right coditions, his custom fuel system and turbos could feed an engine pumping out up to 1000hp")

also an ohc engine with the same displacement would get more power, but ohv engines make thier power in low rpms, thus better acceleration.

20. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

well yeah if u floor it around a corner in any car u could probably spin out in any car. but due to the amont of power behind the Vipers wheels they spin alot easier then most other cars.

21. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

"The Venom 1000 can produce 24 psi of boost at 2500 rpm for instance. We are no where close to knowing what the power limitations of the Venom Twin Turbo system. So far we have set records by making 830 rear wheel hp on just 15 psi of boost" ---John Hennessey

M/T tested it with the max boost pressure set at 6psi and it was not running the full 830hp.

The venom that hennessey uses to do the testing with M/T and car and driver is not one of his production cars that car is this original 1997 protype its can be adujusted from 800TT-spec to 1000TT-spec the engine is also bored out a few more inches than the other TT's hennessey makes.

any one kno what the displacement on the 750R is?

22. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

hmmmmmm.......well, in the 2001 may m/t issue it says (and i quote) "Hennessey told us he needs only 6lb of boost pressure fed to a Venom 600 V-10 to pull the 800 big ones." that's what go with

(i could be wrong, but in what mag. or where did hennessey say he used 15psi????)

also in the june issue they test the same car as in the may issue, so i would think that it was still runnning 6psi.

also, hennessey never made a 750R, you probably mean the 650R which is at 515ci.

23. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

wow, where have i been, yeah hennessey makes a 750R @ : 543 CID (Bore: 4.030 in. x Stroke: 4.250 in.)

i dunno where u've been but a lot has changed since the last time u checked on hennesseys #'s lol the TT's that he makes and sells are NOT to be confused with his test prototype although they are similar the #'s are very different and the tester actually runs the 750 engine
