This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Actually, in the article that preceded the actual Motor Trend testing, one of Hennessey's customers did show up at the shop in an HMS 750R. I don't know how many of them are out there. My guess is that this car receives a similar stoker upgrade as found in the Lingenfelter 540cid Viper or the Apex Lethal 750. I know of only one Viper that produces 750-ish hp (650 RWHP) with the stock 488cid on all motor.

No, the prototype 800TT, made 833hp.

(and i quote) "The V-10 was fired and wamed. The shifter was yanked into fourth gear, and the big pull began as the engine blared its way to redline. At the rear wheels, the Twin Turbo was jamming out 725hp-nearly 325 more than stock. Add back in the 15 or so percent given up to drivetrain losses and you get an 833 at-the-flywheel horsepower estimate. Not bad for a low-tech two-valve pushrod engine, wouldn't you say." (800TT at the dyno) -may 2001 motortrend mag. pg 38

"and the tester actually runs the 750 engine"

And i put this in an earlier post:

"Hennessey told us he needs only 6lb of boost pressure fed to a Venom 600 V-10 to pull the 800 big ones." -may 2001 motortrend mag. pg 34

that waz back in 2001 he did a lot to that car since its been more than a year since had the 600 engine now its been bored and storked and as u said "the prototype 800TT, made 833hp" im not talking about the protype im talking about the TT's he makes to order its not the same car.

  4. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

ok...and what about the Jap cars...
that is also part of this thread...

  5. Re:

the jap cars are good and look excellent but they still do not have the mid range power and low end needed they make most of their power at the high end which is not where most ppl drive around revin at....they are also very expensive to fix (not sayin the viper is cheap to fix) but with japanese cars once you get the boost turned up and the power up they dramatically loose reliability and are hard to keep street legal in the states the viper is a lot easier to keep on the road with regards to emissions and its a known fact that all the TT's hennesseys has made are used for racing and also daily drivers and seem to have few reliablity problems (not saying none) but with the japanese cars working on them is a regular thing more needed than the viper. The skiline and supras also clost more than a viper which might sound odd but is true stateside with no mods a skyline runs for just over 80k

Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

    Not exactly.

when the prototype was tested (LIKE I POSTED IN MY EARLIER POST) it made 725RWhp, and 833 flywheel HP.

at www.hennesseyperformance.com , they have the 800TT system available:

    " Power Output:
    725 - 750 Rear Wheel HP (830 - 860 Flywheel HP)
    750 - 800 Rear Wheel Lb-ft. Torque (860 - 920 Flywheel Lb-ft. Torque)
Note: Power output depends on model year Viper.

    Performance:
    0-60: 2.4 sec.
    1/4 mile: 10.1 @ 138 mph
Top Speed: 235 mph (estimated) "

Seems like the same car to me.
(now if you could just agree that the #'s of the ones "he makes to order" look similar to the prototype, then this nice conversation is over. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  7. Re:

it is not the same care because when you order an send a viper for the upgrade all the does is the engine upgrade and he recommends a whole list of other upgrades that add up to about $30K more his prototype already has these upgrades if you get just the engine upgrade it costs about $125-130K his prototype car is worth about $160K

viper 1426, if you want to kno more about what im tryin to say lol and about the TT's he's sold so far and not the prototype car try to get the vid of hennessey and the spec sheets and info package from him he only sends it to viper owners one of the guys at my car club owns a 97 RT-10 and ordered the package from hennessey all the tt-specs you seen in mags are not the same as u would get if you sent a viper to hennessey and asked for a TT upgrade try to contact hennessy and get the stuff if you cant i might b able to get the Vin # of the 97 RT-10 so u can get the info from hennessey

  8. Re: Re:

    I know what you're saying....NOW
LOL, didn't know you were talking about the suspension package. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

(but still if you got the engine and suspension package, the prototype and production cars would be pretty much the same) <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  9. Re: Re:

    APPLAUSE!
so u finally c what im sayin lol yea they would b the same indeed but then it wouldnt b just a 800TT it would b an 800TT with ever lil thing hennessey ever made bolted onto it.............hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm hey hey hey now there's to think about

  10. Re: Re:

well, i conider a true venom 800 to have the suspension package as well (which so far, all 4 800's have)

And if someone didn't get that package, well then the people who use the argument "the viper is a straight line car" would be right ("hey now there's to think about") <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  11. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

the viper is a strait line car and it is a shame really for the porsche, ferrari, lambo, nsx fans that it performs so well on a track too.

but i take it u do understand that suspension does pay a major role in gettin that strait line power to the pavement a great example would b the TNT king snake with 777hp making 60 in 3.3 and the venom 650r with racing suspension making 60 in 3.3

  12. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

The Viper is NOT a straight line car.

  13. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

I don't think they can, but the Hennesey Viper can handle like a mother#$%#er. 75 MPH on the slalom is AMAZING! I think the skidpad was something over 1 g.

  14. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

I don't think they can, but the Hennesey Viper can handle like a mother#$%#er. 75 MPH on the slalom and 1.06 g's is AMAZING!

  15. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Let me correct you on 2 things, you big idiot.
First, this thing makes as much HP as any Skyline, Supra, or any other modified import because it's all the same things. Modified cars have added displacement and forced induction, including the imports.
Second, this thing handles better than any modified Supra, Skyline, Evo, NSX, and any other import with 1.06 g's and 75.1 MPH, you dumbass.

  16. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

    Thank you, someone else (besides me) who thinks the venom 800tt can handle. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  17. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Shut up, *****! You're getting mad because this car outperforms any modded Nissan! It's true. Hell, this thing even kills the Blitz Skyline! Sorry to make you disappointed, but it's true.

  18. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Actually, the Japs are better at tuning since I see so many modded Eclipses, Integras, Civics, etc. Americans make better performing sports cars, but they're pretty hard to tune. That's what I'm guessing, since I don't see too many fixed up Camaros or Mustangs. Only domestic cars I see tuned up are those 5.0 Mustangs. Those are badass!

  19. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

    Production line?
Man, check out that new SRT-10 Viper. It will KILL ANY stock Skyline around the track, period.
As for lateral g's and slalom speed, that does tell you how a car handles.
Also, about the Ferrari 360 Modena beating the Porsche 911 Turbo on the track, ever heard of a professional driver? The driver's skills matter too, you know. I mean, who's gonna win, a soccer mom in a 911 GT2, or a car-jacker in a Corvette, which doesn't handle as bad? Hope that runs through your head.

  20. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

You gotta point there. I respect you for that, man. You said the truth, flat out.

  21. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

True that. Lamborghini can make the perfect cars, but I don't know about tuning. I wouldn't count on it. Car companies that can also tune cars pretty well are Nissan, Toyota, Honda (especially Acura), Ford, Chevy (sort of), Dodge and that's about it.
I think they probaly could, since they have their own tuning companies such as the Super Sports from Chevy, Type S and Type R's from Honda, Nismo from Nissan, TRD from Toyota, SVT from Ford, SRT and Hemi from Dodge, and that's about all I know of.

  22. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

You gotta point there. I think this nationality stuff is bullshit, since every company is mixed with different nationalities.

  23. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Naw, just beat him over the head with a pipe. It won't increase his intelligence, but it will teach him a lesson to stop saying stupid shit.

  24. Re: This vs Jap cars like...AB-flug Supra & Veilside Supra, ect.

Yeah, that guy is racist or something. He's probaly wearing a white hood with eyeholes as we speak.
