UBER-Ferrari Thread - F40LM vs F50GT1 vs FXX

    It's believable given the relative power to weight ratios of the cars. Also, remember the F40 and F50 were built as actual race cars, the FXX is more of a rolling test bed, it's not in any kind of competition. Here are the power and weight figures for the cars in the game. Also, I could be wrong, but I doubt the game is modeling the e-diff, advanced traction control, electronic suspension or any of the other stuff that only the FXX will have with 100% accuracy.

    F50 GT: 750hp, 2,002 lbs
    F40 Competizione (same as LM): 799hp, 2,315 lbs
    FXX: 789hp, 2,718 lbs

    I used the F40 Competizione online at the Mugello circuit vs. 2 F50 GTs on Forza 2 and I was consistently 2 seconds behind their lap times. I was racing perfectly too, as my lap times were at most 0.3 seconds apart without any penalties on any laps.

    I guess it would depend on the track, but i would think 9 out 10 times the F50 GT would finish ahead of the F40.

    yea i think because he used Laguna, which is a short and twisty, the F40 can just out turn the other two. on a longer track like Mugello, the F50 would definitely win coz of that long straight

    Umm, in the times I posted the F50 was clearly around 3 seconds faster than the F40, what are you talking about?

    FXX easily wins a race between them, but the F40LM gets my props for being the only one to actually race at Le Mans.

    unfortunately with F50 GT and FXX never being in a REAL race, video games are as good as it gets.

    I vote F50GT1. It is closest to a Formula 1 in its design concept, and it won the video game race <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

    the Fxx would win simply because of the tire differences in the last decade.

    probably the fxx due to the age, but the f40 lm is such a sexy beast.

    Turn off all the electronics and the FXX is jut a brick on wheels.

    Only car i've seen racing personaly from this 3 was the FXX, damn that thing is fast!!
