Various Scottsdale/Phoenix Car Photos

  1. Thanks. I can't wait until that guy is back in town. I want to ride in that thing sooo bad.

I didn't think the old layout was too bad as far as function goes, I just thought it was ugly. I still need to update the forum with the new look, but I've just been putting it off since it gets so little traffic anyway.

  2. Did a small shoot with this car the other day. Nothing spectacular, he's selling it and needed pics. Interesting car though. 850CSi's are obviously rare as it is (220-something came to the US, I believe) and this one is even more rare. The only one ever made in this color and the only one to ever have a cloth interior (the seat inserts are cloth, everything else is leather). It was built for the 1994 (I believe) Atlanta Motor Show and was BMW's press car. All of the magazine reviews of the car that were done when the CSi hit the US were done with this car. He even has the original factory key chain that has "PRESS" written on it.

  3. Tomorrow morning, ~10 or so 360 CS's. At least, that's a possibility. I'm guessing there'll be ~6 at the very least.

  4. Great shot. I digg that colour

  5. i love the 8series.

edit: and that colour looks great on it too

  6. Thanks, guys. I was looking forward to it as I've always like the 8 series as well. The same guy has the Alpina B9, which I might be shooting quick tomorrow. He has quite a few cool Bimmers (he works at or runs or owns a BMW shop, not sure). At the shop he had what looked like a 3.0CSL, an M6 and some sort of 2002. They might've been recreations or something, though, I don't know. I really should've taken pics. He also had a P1800ES there. He owns quite a few other cool cars that weren't there, like a Noble, Testarossa, F355 and some other stuff.

  7. Some of you might find this interesting, turns out Ron Pratte is building a museum for his cars. I'm not sure if it's going to be open to the public (I've heard it's not), but if not, I still might be able to get access to it. Who's Ron Pratte? He's the dude that always buys the big ticket stuff at Barrett-Jackson every year. He bought the Supersnake for $5m, the Futureline for $4m, the first GT500 for $650k, the first GT500KR for $605k, Shelby's '69 GT500 for $675k, Tony Stewart's NASCAR for $300k, etc. Should be quite the museum.

  8. Another shot of the CSi.

  9. There were seven Stradales out there this morning. All red, two stripeless. There was a black on black a silver that were supposed to show, but didn't. Still, not bad for a pretty rare car. Pics coming shortly.

  11. Damn! There's that many 360CS's in Scottsdale?

  12. Holy shit. I envy you greatly. That many CS's in one line would seriously make me flatline.

    EDIT: New MotherfUcking background!!!

  13. There are at least 20 getting together in in Socal in july.

  17. damn dude is that you?

  18. more importantly did you actually drive it

  19. I'm actually driving in both of those pics. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> It wasn't much of a drive though... basically just around the block, didn't even take it out of first gear. But still, that car's worth about 10 times as much as the next best thing I've ever driven. It also performs about 100 times better than anything else I've driven. Like I said, I didn't do much in it, but it was still pretty incredible.

  22. It is a sweet car. You don't have to be going fast to appreciate it. I have been lucky enough to drive the 599, F430, Gallardo Superleggera, SLR, Callaway C16, 911 Carrera S, and some others. The 599 is amazing, you should push for a longer drive ;-).

  23. Lucky SOB!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
