    Oh they do.

  2. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

I don't know of a viper that can beat the 800tt, but maybe the stryker and apex.

  3. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Both the GIWASA and Stryker Viper got better overall performance specs.

But what I meant in the previous post is that Vipers will get a lot "sweeter" in the future...

  4. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

are yall talking about the stryker RS?

  5. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Well, the stryker stage 3 does get better performance (to bad it's not on this site anymore) But in the future there will be the stryker RS TT w/ 1700hp. I think that's "sweeter" than an 833hp TT viper.

i know about the rs 1700hp viper yack yack. i found out about that months ago. hey whatever happened to that guy with the name of 1700hpviper?

  7. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

    prolly found something better to do. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

1700bhp, its gettin' higher and higher, i mean i haven't been in 'ere 4 a while but this is gettin' out of hand, wouldn't it be difficult 2 handle a car with that much power...?

  9. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

I believe it would be quite difficult to get traction too...

  10. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

The car has 1700hp. But keep in mind, top fuel dragsters have what 5-7000 hp, and those cars get great tracktion, doing 3sec 1/4's.

Now the 800TT was tested on street tires (not many know that) It's known for being tested with street slicks.

Now there are dragsters that use radial tires and have around the same hp, as the RS, so with the right tires (MT street slicks like the 800tt) it would get tracktion.

Also, it doesn’t really matter how much HP the car has and how that would affect its handling. What would affect its handling is how fast the car went, but if you go a little slow, and don’t use all the 1700HP the car has, then it should handle ok. But if you floored it on a track, using that 1700HP, then its handling wouldn’t be the best.

  11. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Keep in mind top fuel dragsters have the engine resting on the rear wheels, along with 90% of the weight directly in back. Also, the tires are not what you'd like to see on a street car. Can you imagine a low speed stop with slicks like that? Won't happen, unless you plan on burning out before every stop, as well as every start up.

A Viper like that is not something I'd ever want to drive on a street, for fear of putting it into the nearest lamp post. One slip of the pedal and you're dead. Now that would be alright for proffessional drivers, but I highly doubt only proffessionals are going to get their hands on it.

  12. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Khari's right you know and furthermore, no Top Fuel Dragster runs the 1/4 in 3 sec. I think the record is like 4.4 sec or something.

Yeah sure, the 800TT was tested on street tires but the SVS RS Viper will have twice the power of a 800TT.

1700hp won't do you any good driving around the block.
It will probably do great in the quarter and awesome top speed but for everyday use I'd say a Hennessey 800TT is more than enough.

  13. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Yeah, the RS would be hard to drive daily (like most vipers are)

But on a strip, and track (given suspension upgrades, and full racing slicks to get tracktion, considering all race cars on a track use slicks) the RS would be best suited there.

But it would be quite an experience owning an RS and driving it on the street! <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  14. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

    which i will someday do............

  15. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

are you talking about the pento Road Speck?

  16. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

No, I believe the car referred to is the SVS 1700 hp Rocket Sled Viper.

  17. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Yeah man, it would be kinda nice to get to drive the SVS RS for a day...even nicer if one would still be alive at the end of that day <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  18. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

    anything is possible...

  19. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Yup, this is definetly the best EVER American supercar. 0-60mph in 2.7 secs is SOMETHIN!!!

This definitely kicks McLaren ass. But after all this is a Super upgraded Special version. So i'd say that if anyone made a mac upgraded to this extent, it would probably RIP every supercar on the road.

  20. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Actually, don't go by supercars.net 2.7 to 60 time (don't know where they got that)

The 800tt did 2.43 to 60 on street slicks, and 3.21 to 60 on regular street tires.

  21. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

the 1000tt can beat it. though im not sure that its out yet

  22. Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

Re: Viper just don't get too much sweeter than this!!!!

    Yes it did 8.93.

Also i posted this in another thread, my friend e-mailed hennessey about the 1000tt, the responce:

"THE COST IS $70,000. CURRENT PRODUCTION TIME IS ABOUT 4 MONTHS. THANKS FOR YOUR INQUERY."

    John Hennessey
    www.HennesseyPerformance.com
"Home of the World's Quickest, Fastest & Most Powerful Vipers"
    281-346-1370 TEL
    281-346-2296 FAX "

So considering the 1000tt beats the 427tt vette by .2secs in the 1/4, and will be produced a little, that would technically make it the fastest street legal production car in the world. (at least for now) <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
