Re: What do you think of it? I don't like it either. Looks like something bumped in front of it. keep the faith<!-- Signature -->
Re: What do you think of it? Its ultra fugly, and the styling - BLECH! But its got the #'s, so its not all that bad... I give it a meh.<!-- Signature -->
Re: What do you think of it? Then agian, I can't really say that - until I see the whole car. If you got any more pic's, I'd take a look, and reconsider my above statement.<!-- Signature -->
Re: What do you think of it? I think it's a cult car that a few people really love for some reason or another, and I also think it's ugly as sin.<!-- Signature -->
Re: What do you think of it? A lot of the ppl on here need to learn some respect for the classics u compare everythign to diablo's amd M3's this car was first desgined in 1960 it was styled by Raymond Leowy a world famous designer the car drew rave reviews and was ahead of its time in many ways the inside looks like a mercedes all leather how do 1960 BMW's look? CRAP or 1960 toyota's?
Re: What do you think of it? yea i do drive a 308, how'd u know? are u stalking me or something? and i too, will never understand how all these POS cars make it on the site that is called SUPERCARS, not POSCARS.

Re: What do you think of it? Well I see that our little xler8 friend likes grandma cars. Not sure where u got a crazy idea and think that this is a supercar, and where did they get this POS from anyway? How is this a supercar? And xler8, i see that you have a Ferrari icon, what do u drive like a 308 or somethin?
Re: What do you think of it? oh mna that is not how u blend in chrome trim ugly ugly ugly<!-- Signature -->
Re: What do you think of it? what are u guys talkin about? this is the most beautiful car that i have ever seen. forget those ferrari's, mclaren's or porsche's, they don't have anything on this bad boy.
Re: What do you think of it? man you should deffinitely have changed the tag for this one. The car is damn ugly you know=?<!-- Signature -->
Very good looking and nicely trimmed, a great car to drive over the sandy Sunday beaches, over the beautiful sights of the world, for the exhiliration of this car's profound beauty. Nice headlights, elegantly stylish, a gorgeous car.
Re: What do you think of it? I don't think it's pretty. But it's different. Many American cars of this period were very similar, all large and anonymous. Powerful for an eight cylinder engine of the Seventies, too.
Re: What do you think of it? One of the ugliest cars I have ever seen, but it has grat performance, I had to admit.
Re: What do you think of it? I have to agree, the avanti in that picture is horrible. If you've ever seen a nice one taken from a good angle, or in person, they are great. I mean, that ones all nasty and brown. Supercars.net's pictures are not very great at all, and their statistics about teh car are not right. Here's a black 1980 http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/N1/5/9/5/4/2/2/7/8/9/picture-3.html , and heres a 1977 http://members.tripod.com/wishingchair/cars/ava.html . I think they are nice, we have a one painted that silver mercedes color. Its very nice and will beat a porche (boxter at least.. haha). This car was faster than the corvette at the time, and had some type of speed record. The Avanti was also the only car to have been exibited at the Louvre. Oh well, Im sure everyone will still have their bad opinions, but i hope this clears up some stuff

Re: What do you think of it? I'm not surprised to see this comment from kenmclaren repeated in here...I must add that the Avanti was years ahead of it's time, and was a beautifully styled car for it's time as well...I also prefer the older Studebakers, like the Champion, the Hawk, Hawk GT, the R2 Super Hawk and the Daytona...the Avanti was a great study in how different (and modern) cars could look back then...
