What kind of headfoam do you prefer?

  1. I've noticed certain regions to have specific continuities in what it's expected from a headfoam at the pubs. Do you like yours a certain way all the time, or do you go with the flow based on the type of beer? Myself, I don't really discriminate, depends on the beer.

  2. German & Eastern European - 1.5 to 2 solid inches of foam

Too much foam and I get annoyed, just enough and it compliments the beer nicely.

  3. dude, that's too much. I really dislike head on just about all beers except heavy ales and stouts.

  4. head on pilsners and wheat ales just tastes punky and ruins the experience.

  5. I just stay away from Wheat Ales. I dont enjoy them.

  6. Yeah, generally I don't drink true wheat beers. Weizens, wheat mixed with other stuff, they're good... hoegaarden, schneiderweiss.. those are good ones, but full-wheat beers are just boring

  7. One might as well be drinking water.

  8. wth. half beer half foam? that's new to me. but i always have 2 fingers of foam.

  9. lol, yeah. In a small glass. And then they wipe the top of the foam off with the knife. I laughed.

  10. They obviously aren't exciting beers, but who says you need to have your boots knocked off everytime you have a beer?

  11. one thumb-width

    I guess that's UK then

  12. Well, I just figure if I'm spending pub prices on a pint, I'd want it to be a noticable pint. 5 bucks for a pint of water = <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  13. Well obviously if you're at a pub. But if I just finished cutting the lawn in 30C weather, I'm not going to want a kilkenny. I want something light and easy.

  14. Good point. I personally would reach for a cold Moose on a hot day before a wheat beer, but to each his own.

  15. haha yeah that's true.

  16. I prefer my beer to have the correct amount of head for the beer, obviously. Its the only solution.

  17. It really depends on the beer but beer definately needs a nice foamhead
