I've noticed certain regions to have specific continuities in what it's expected from a headfoam at the pubs. Do you like yours a certain way all the time, or do you go with the flow based on the type of beer? Myself, I don't really discriminate, depends on the beer.
German & Eastern European - 1.5 to 2 solid inches of foam Too much foam and I get annoyed, just enough and it compliments the beer nicely.
Yeah, generally I don't drink true wheat beers. Weizens, wheat mixed with other stuff, they're good... hoegaarden, schneiderweiss.. those are good ones, but full-wheat beers are just boring
They obviously aren't exciting beers, but who says you need to have your boots knocked off everytime you have a beer?
Well, I just figure if I'm spending pub prices on a pint, I'd want it to be a noticable pint. 5 bucks for a pint of water = <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
Well obviously if you're at a pub. But if I just finished cutting the lawn in 30C weather, I'm not going to want a kilkenny. I want something light and easy.
Good point. I personally would reach for a cold Moose on a hot day before a wheat beer, but to each his own.
