What other streetable production car would you rather have?

  1. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

The McLaren F1 GTR is a race car, but they can be converted to be street legal. However, you might as well go for the F1 LM as it pretty much is McLaren's street legal version of the GTR.
  2. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

The most interesting and functionally beautiful is the Mercedes CLK-GTR. There is probably no other street car on earth that could keep up with the Merc in an actual road race, primarily because the Mercedes not only accelerates from 100 to top speed like a real race car should (ludicrously fast), but because it stops from 60 in something like 91 feet. For actual everyday driving, the 575M maranello would be great, because it is a wonderful balance of everything (or *please* the 550 Barchetta peninfarina)
  3. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

so no one wants a Porsche 911 GT1 ... thats kind of sad.
  4. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

I'd say the Mercedes CLK GTR Coupe, Roadster, and especially the Super Sport. Don't forget the Mclaren F1, LM, and the GT. Last, the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron, and the Mercedes CLK GTX.
  5. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

commenting on the Toyota GT-One. Was the GT-One entered as a Prototype or as a GT car in the ACO LEmans race? If it was entered as a GT car which i believe it was. Then Toyota would be required to produce 50 street legal copies of the GT-One in order to follow regulations. But as a prototype it wouldnt be required. I know that with the R390 there qwere several copies. Also I would have to take the R390 over all of the others just cause im a NISMO/ Nissan fan and i drive a nissan. but besides that i was overly impressed with the specs and ammenities provided in the Dauer 962 LM. In America, the Mosler MT900 and the Saleen S7 are awesome cars that i would love to have. The up coming Ford GT will be very bad ass! IMO the GT's engine isnt really fitting for something such as the reincarnation of the GT40. If i had the funds id buy a GT and slap a Saleen S7 spec 427 in that baby :p.....so who is with me!? lol

  6. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

why does everyone like the CLK GTR so much. That thing weighs more than an audi. this porsche is THE car. come on, its porsche. that says enough.

yeah, i guess i'd rather have a mclaren, but i hate that i would.
  7. Re: What other streetable production car would you rather have?

    A 1995 McLaren F1 LM, a 1998 Mercedes CLK-GTR, and a 1999 Toyota GT1.
  8. this is truly one amazing vehicle, especially in person. ive had the priviledge of seeing a 911 gt1. however, as far as supercars, personally i would rather have:

    mclaren f1 lm
enzo (only because im very partial to ferrari)
    zonda f
    koenigsegg ccr/ccx

    ...thats about it...
  9. A Dauer 962 LM would be my other choice.

  13. Hey, i'm new on this forum.
The 911 GT1 Evo (this particular version) is my favorite car of all time for some years now.
So my top 5 all time will probably be like this (street going cars ofc) :
    1 - Porsche 911 GT1 Evo (on white -thx)
2 - Mercedes CLK GTR (silver ofc)
    3 - McLaren F1 LM
    4 - Pagani Zonda F (to bad the R version is not street legal - yet <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>)
    5 - Ferrari F40
