What the?

  1. Can somebody explain what is going on in this picture?

The only thing I can think of is that the hangar is too small for the C-130, and that the tail is meant to stick out when they're doing maintenance.

  2. Absolutely nothing.

You'd never see a military aircraft that was currently in active service being serviced in a hangar. That photo was taken at an air show where the public were permitted to walk around the apron to get a close up view of the participating airplanes. That's the tail of a Hercules secured to the doors of the hangar for show purposes only.

  3. It is obviously a picture of the US's newest supersecret stealth aircraft. Very clever actually, when the enemy sees it they will just think, "Ohh, its just a hanger not an airplane silly us." Why would you try and shoot down a hanger? That would just be silly, the US once again rules the skys.

  4. I stand corrected.

  5. ROFLMFAO!

  6. It almost looks like a photoshop.

  7. It's a Halliburton voter manipulation aircraft being built for 2008...

  8. The US military services planes indoors all the time.

  9. I meant you as in the general public. They may be in the hangar, but the doors are closed so you can't see them.

  10. Yepp, you're right, The tail is to tall to go through the door.

  11. Only skunkworks and other secret aircraft are kept behind closed doors. They may keep them closed if it's raining or cold or something, but I see them open all the time at airstations all up and down the west coast. Air Force, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, you name it. It's not like hydraulics and turbines are anything secret.

  12. Ive seen that before.

  13. Except there are some C-130s that are outfitted with lots of fancy secret electronics for eavsdropping and the like.

  14. Probably.
