Ever found yourself sitting in a taxi, thinking you could pilot that cab much better than its driver? Well, who hasn't, but that's rarely an option. If only everyone recognized your driving talent. Unfortunately most of us don't get that kind of recognition. Unless, of course, you're Michael Schumacher. The seven-time world champion was with his family in Munich en route to the airport, and like the rest of us, they were running late. Naturally Schumi asked the driver, Tuncer Yilmaz, if he could drive, and the next thing Tuncer knew, he was riding shotgun as Michael did what Michael does best. Needless to say, the Schumacher family made their flight, landed in Coburg and picked up their new dog from the breeder. (Seriously). The cabbie, for his part, attested to having the ride of his life, and in addition to the fare, got a generous tip. [Source: F1-Live]
To be fair if Schumi wants to drive your car, you have to step aside. It's like in the films when the police commandere vehicles.

Germanys newest, and most famous, taxi driver, Michael Schumacher, has slightly irritated several senior citizens with his recent role in an advert for a Fiat Bravo something or other. Schuey and comedy sidekick Kimi Raikkonen (we kid you not), are featured in the ad, driving along country roads talking about air bags, luggage space and fuel consumption. Its every bit as riveting as it sounds. However, when Michael takes his turn behind the wheel, he asks the Finnish scamp, Want to see a pensioner drive? before driving off, reaching speeds in excess of 50mph. Said a spokesman for the seniors, Reg Dawdle (above): Schumacher does not check his rear view mirror 10 times before moving off, he does not have a box of tissues and a hat on the back shelf and he most definitely does not have one of those beaded seat cover things. Reg went on: If he reckons he is going to represent elderly drivers then he needs to change his ways; I suggest wearing a nice cardigan and some sensible shoes would be a good start. (ITV)
