wasn't this thread made a few weeks ago? And your options are obviously limited
Leave it in whatever gear I pull in with (usually second, or reverse if I've backed in) and pull the parking brake.
Basically, just hand brake.
This thread has been done not so long a go with more options. Anways I drive a lame auto so i put it in "P"
Yes, find my old thread and bump it. I gave 10 options
I put it in P for pimpin.
done, someone close this or something
Handbrakes are for doing donuts in the winter.
I no got one. Only parking brake. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
I just put mine in a bike shed FAGgOTS
I still put mine in reverse when facing downhill, despite the fact that everyone says it's the same as putting it in first, it makes me feel better. 1st gear all other times.
This really throws off yropians, every time I would drive up to some place with a valet in France or Italy, I'd leave it in gear and they'd naturally stall the car right when starting it up, so I try not to do it in yrop, but it's pretty ingrained for me (also in the US the clutch needs to be disengaged in order to start the car).
Weird. I don't think I can even turn the engine over without the clutch pedal being depressed.
I can't either. Some cars have over-ride switches though.
Unless I'm remembering wrong, disengaged is when the clutch pedal is depressed. It's a safety feature to make sure you don't stall the car like the yropian valets.
Edit: oh you mean weird as in how it is in Europe (I read too literally on the internetz, my bad). Yeah it is, I don't understand why they don't have that feature, but everyone there just leaves the car in neutral...
Bullshit. That's what RWD is for.
1st and handbrake.
The thing to do when you pull up at a valet is leave the car running and put it in neutral with the handbrake.
Anyways when I park I put it in first plus handbrake.
I hate leaving cars running though, even for a couple minutes.
I usually start the car in neutral so I don't have to touch the pedals when doing so <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
oh shit its not an original topic ....I better go make a game thread or what are you listening to part ect...
I wanted a up to date trending ok, so how do personally do it ...
Depressed to disengage clutch <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/cool.gif"></A>
Yeah...I never use valet anyways but I just stopped working as one and that's just what most people do. Then again we hardly ever have the car waiting, it's like the driver/passengers get out/takes their stuff and we take drive off immediately.
