Who here lifts weights?

  5. well I already know this is going nowhere. But Ill start

    max bench now is 315. was 345 a coupld months ago.
    max deadlift is 375 Im gonna attempt 395 tomorrow
    max squat I dunno yet, but I squatted 315 no problem yesterday 8 times, I think I can do 405 for max squat.

  8. I wrap up all my guns in a blanket... weighs about 400 pounds. Then I lift them with my penis, while doing burnouts in my Firebird.

  12. at my peak (a few years ago):

    Bench 205
    Squat 375
    clean 215

    I was 155 lbs then too.
     
  13. Nice! your squat is good for your weight. I didnt have a spot and dont have good balance, so I cant go too much on squat because Im not used to doing them. But Im sure I can go well in the 400 range, since I leg press over 1000pounds.

    also Please tell me you did this with barbells and not on the machines...

    Oh and my shrugs is weak like 405, because my grip cant support more weights

    edit: Also I think its called cling not clean.

    and I dunno what my max is for that. thats like deadlift and then shoulder/militray press standing up...

  16. i dont give a shit about any of that crap, i have my own effective routine.

    i can do 8-rep sets of 170 benching, but that's on the machine, and it'd probably be somewhat less on a real bench. i dont squat or clean, and mostly just use the machines for the legs.
     
  17. well id laugh at you, but you arent trying to get big or anything. just to keep in shape, what you're doing is okay..


    my reps go:
    (with 1-2 minute breaks in between)

    135 X 8
    225 X 6
    315 X 2

    and then Id do a super set

    225 x 8 immediately followed by 135 x 12-20 depending on how much I can do.

    ALso you get you biggest the first 3 months. of course you are gonna get "bigger" but before I go on any further, what are your goals?

  25. No, because he is never gonna get big that way. You dont do machines to get big, its only to recover or maintain strength (if even that)
