i primarily do machines for my legs (mostly to tone, but i've bulked a bit there anyway), and i bench on the machine because i dont have to worry about a spotter. and since i've gotten satisfactory results, why should i care? everything else i do is free weights, all with acceptable results.
Pinin loves everyone who's horrible. you'd probably get plenty of entertainment just sitting in a lounge at a loony bin.
or you're just dense, and cant comprehend the worthlessness in people like mclaren and legitimately dislike them for what they are, like everyone else does.
judging by the message in your sig, AND that you bothered to repeat it, is proof positive <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/PnutSpecial.gif"></A>
you lift your pasty cinnamon stick arm to surf Wikipedia, and your other pasty cinnamon stick arm to suck on either a crappy cigarette, or crappy fast food, or one of your IR professors, or whatever. not a very good workout, stew.
Ok, Im just saying, you arent gonna ever get big with machines. DOnt take my word for it. Just look at powerlifters or bodybuilders. No one does machines. especially for strength, they are on the opposite side of the spectrum. I understand you may not have a spotter, so at least start with light weights and do barbells (not even dumbells)
you should probably just drop it, seeing as a) i already know what machines can and can't do, and b) i've so far fully capitalized on all they CAN do. besides, once i use up all the weight on machines (which is the case for maybe half of the 4 i generally use), i dont really have much choice but to go back to free weights, do i? and OMG, i already said i use free weights for stuff.
I look at most powerlifters and bodybuilders and think why the #$%# would anybody work hard to look like that? I'd like to be able to wipe my own ass thank you very much!
um i dont lift weights because i dont find it to be useful for my health, for sports or maintaining fitness. I do pushups, i swim and i run and im very good at it. I run a 8:40 3k mr 1 million bench press u think u can do that?
Remington probably thinks you cant be in shape and look bulked up w/out doing the shit those meatheads do. ive proven to myself that it's not necessary unless i really dont want to fit into any clothes that i should rationally and humanly fit into <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
I work out for keeping in shape, I've never worked out consistantly for more than a week in my life. I do pushups, bench presses, some abs exercises and I play competitive sports.
