Why Are Ferraris so heavy?

  1. I've noticed that a lot of the ferraris are about 3700 lbs. Where is all of the weight coming from?

the engine mate, the engine. Thats why my mum's car is quite heavy (besides the fact that is a very large affordable family luxury car)

Not all Ferraris are this heavy. The 550 has a big engine, and it's quite luxurious and long. So is the 456.
The 360 is much smaller and lighter.
The stripped-down F50 is very light.
