Discussion in '1994 Jaguar XJ220 S TWR' started by lt4, Apr 28, 2007.
I heard it tanked and jag lost heavy money on it.
Because it was supposed to have a V12 and 4WD, and ended up only having RWD and a turboed V6. It was also absolutely enormous, making it annoying to drive. It also landed at around about the same time as the global recession hit in the early 90's, and nobody could afford to buy one.
Plus add the fact that a year later the McLaren F1 came out...and well we all here what when the F1 was produced...and thus began an even more unfolding of the XJ220s down fall. Kind of tragic when you can just imagine what this could've been, if Jaguar just stuck to the original plan.
