Peter Monteverdi never made too many cars. The one in the background is a 450 Hai SS, from the late sixties. It has a 426 Hemi in the middle, linked to a 5 speed transaxle. It ran 0-100 in 12 seconds in 1967, the only thing faster from the factory at the time was the 427 AC Cobra(street cars)Monteverdi used Mopar engines and Italian coachwork for his Swiss creations. There are very few left, as rust was a big problem. That, and putting 500+ hpower into a 2500 lb car. A bunch of them were wrecked before rust had a chance. His Monteverdi High Speed came with the 440, or the optional 426 Hemi.
