  2. excuse my ignorance in not downloading the pictures, and commenting, but isnt the 2005 XK range already out? I have all the media pictures for them already. Quite nice pics too.

  3. scrap my last comment, I just realised its the new 2006 model, new design... apparently...

  4. I doubt it will be that new. Jaguar is traditionally opposed to change.

  5. Like the X-Type and S-Type ?

Remind me what was before the XK coupes ...

  6. XJ coupes before the XK coupes
personally, jaguar needs to fix EVERYTHING. even the new XJ looks like the X-Type. I enjoy riding around in the old bodystyle XJ, although its a little cramped compared to say, a 745.

anyone know whats going on with their s-type based sports car?

  7. The X-Type looks is supposed to look like the XJ, not the other way round. XJ's have looked like that for years before the X-Type was produced.

  8. I know, I was being sarcastic, the XK was hardly a tiny step from the XJS was it ?

  9. Very intriguing. The shots make it difficult to tell what kind of vehicle it will really be. The profile is very Vanquish-like, and has a fastback rear end. Could it be a folding hardtop a la SL? Not likely, but possible. What Jag really needs to do for the second-generation car is to firm up the suspension and give it more power. I'm taking 350+hp for the base XK8 and 450 for the XKR. To pass the SL, it must not only look the Jaguar part but also outperform it and outhandle it. I'm not expecting a 911-killer here, but it should at least have a solid sporting character like the original E-Type.

  10. ABOUT TIME! The old one is long past its prime.

  11. hence the word apparently <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
