Erik this is fantastic cheers! I managed to find info and identify about sixteen cars before this, but you're right, it's gonna be practically impossible to get them all right. Especially the Japanese ones. I've gotta find out more about the XJR-15LM, I've seen photos of two of them in Japan which won't help at all. Your picture of the green one is another new one I think. Apparently they've got 7.4 litre engines with more than 700bhp. I have a lead on race number #7, it's just whether I can really bring myself to start emailing former owners and so on, it looks like race number #17 was the same car as well. I'd love any more photos you've got, can never have too many photos of the XJR-15 eh?
This twigged something in my mind. I remembered seeing this at the start of my search. The owner of 050 had posted it on a different site. 1 TWR test car 3 Force India Owners Collection 4 Race car - Bonhams 2002 6 In the US 10 Road car, sold by Christies in 2001 16 Road car in the UK 20 Race car 22 Race car, run by JD Classics in 2002/2003 27 Race Car - Christies 1999 37 Race car - RM Auctions in 2003 40 Brooks 2000, had engine fire 41 Christies 2001 47 Race car, currently for sale in the UK 49 Road car, sold by RM in May 2010 50 Road car, now UK registered, prior road registration in Germany He has #040 down as a Brooks sold car, but in 2000 not 1999, any chance they could be the same? Some of the info there contradicts what I found afterwards, so maybe the year is wrong and it's the right car. Interesting that it had an engine fire.
Well if you know some Japanese, you could ask this guy: http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/grace348/diary/200704260000/
>> edit: with the F1 in it should be ZAZ H109 HTA looks like it could be Goodwood 2007 The one with all the Ferrari's is located at Miura Shoji's place. The 11th one looks like it was taken at Light Auto
In fact it probably was 2000 - Brooks acquired Bonhams in 2000, changing the name to "Bonhams & Brooks" so I was tempted to think that this was their 1999 auction since the signs still say "Brooks". Maybe they merged after this auction occurred or just didn't rebrand everything right away? Speaking of auctions, here's one shot I have taken at a Christies auction - EXIF says this was 8/16/2001. Again, no clue which car. >8^) ER EDIT: Apparently this is chassis 010 - sold for $179,000 http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/christie-s-pebble-beach-auction/jaguar-xjr-1-1.html http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/christie-s-pebble-beach-auction/ferrari-250-2.html
The thread I started on PistonHeads has come up trumps already. <A HREF="http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u= http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/139131615&ei=e_BqTMD-KIOQjAeq1rx_&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=10&ved=0CE8Q7gEwCTgU&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dxjr%2B15%26start%3D20%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbo%3D1%26rlz%3D1T4GZAZ_enGB360GB360%26tbs%3Dqdr:w%26prmd%3Div TARGET="_new">http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u= <A HREF="http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/139131615&ei=e_BqTMD-KIOQjAeq1rx_&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=10&ved=0CE8Q7gEwCTgU&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dxjr%2B15%26start%3D20%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbo%3D1%26rlz%3D1T4GZAZ_enGB360GB360%26tbs%3Dqdr:w%26prmd%3Div</A>" TARGET="_new">http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/139131615&ei=e_BqTMD-KIOQjAeq1rx_&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=10&ved=0CE8Q7gEwCTgU&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dxjr%2B15%26start%3D20%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbo%3D1%26rlz%3D1T4GZAZ_enGB360GB360%26tbs%3Dqdr:w%26prmd%3Div</A></A> Chassis 035 was for sale recently in Japan, practically brand new. Looks like a race version with the tow hook in the front grille.
This is a Dutch one. There were higher res images, but I can't find them anymore. Owner also has an XJ220 and Jag & Aston Estate. I'd love to know where they are <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
Your link there for 035 is kind of a mess - here's the page by itself and then someone can translate it if they want to: http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/139131615 Meanwhile here's more detail on 010 when it was auctioned. The writer does make one mistake in his comparison to the XJ220 stating that it has lift-up doors similar to a Mercedes Gullwing whereas the XJR-15 has conventional doors. I'm not sure what XJ220 he was thinking of, because as most of us know both cars have conventional doors. >8^) ER
Allready flaunting it on PH I see. nah jk <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A> <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/PnutSpecial.gif"></A>
back in the day I thought that was #9. Never knew I close I was <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
Now that an interesting one. It wears the same number plate as 016 had at some point in it's life. I ran J320BJN through the DVLA the check for any details and it's not on the database anymore. Camera trick/lighting or is that a darker colour than the other blue ones? Similarly this one looks darker, and has clear indicators instead of orange ones as well. http://www.diablomotor.com/2008/04/20/se-vende-jaguar-tom-walkinshaw-xjr-15-v12-en-valladolid/ I can't seem to find any record of that car being for sale in Spain though so have no idea which one it is. Erik - Cheers for finding the original link.
well, if it wears the same plates, it probably is 016. since it's a racecar it isnt registered in the netherlands.. and i think its the standard blue color.

I think I got my info for 016 based off this post but I'd have to check.
Here's one that was listed on Ebay back in 2001 - no idea which car, but it's blue so maybe that won't help identify it. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A> >8^) ER
H109 HTA is supposed to be #031. Originally a Japanese car. Now in the UK, last spotted at the Jaguar Classic at Silverstone 2009 I think.
More pics and info on 020 if you have not found this yet: http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/181-Jaguar-XJR-15-6.0L,%20V12 Pics are clickable for slightly larger versions. >8^) ER
Are there any real photos of this yellow one seen in Japan? Video is usually more prized than photos these days, but with the rain and the poor encoding quality this is a pretty crappy vid. I made some equally crappy screenshots anyway. >8^) ER
Yup im the same Alan from the fchat thread, i'll post some of my pics when i have the time, cheers for now <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
Just found this one in Japan - appears to be for sale and a unique gunmetal grey or black paint color. http://response.jp/assistance/usedcar/detail/CU0005214716/ The important part of the ad - Chassis number 024 <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/cool.gif"></A> >8^) ER
Random car in Japan with its engine cover removed. Also pics of an LM painted in white. Some relation to the Tokai LMP car perhaps? >8^) ER
Excellent stuff Erik! How on earth are you managing to find this Japanese stuff? I think that last white XJR LM photo was the one I'd seen, on a Yahoo blog, didn't save it though so cheers for those pics as well. Would be handy if there were a way of tracking Japanese number plates for the car with the engine cover removed, or if we had anyone at all in Japan to help us.
