  4. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

where the hell did you get that number. again this is not a z06. it is a base corvette that has more features to commemorate the corvettes 50th anniversary. the 0-60 time is 5.2 secs not 4.7. get ya facts right then post.

  5. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

The correct term, for one thing, is "layman's terms".

Draper is right on the nose about this car. It's a special edition, not just another common production model. Fifty years from now, there will be people at auctions buying these for big bucks, tracking their production numbers, etc. This is an exagerated comparison, but look at all the limited production Ferraris (there are many different models). Are they sports cars? Of course, what else would a Ferrari be? But should they be driven on the road? Only if the owner is daring enough. Have you seen Farris Bueler's Day Off? There's a 250 California in that, with very low miles. In the course of the day, the miles are nearly doubled. The kid freaks out because it's a priceless car. Same will go for this Vette.

Dude, shorten your signature, and we don't care if you love Jennifer.

  7. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

You don't know much about Corvettes from being a president of a "Corvette Clan"

  8. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

50 years old..hard to believe!! alot has happened between June of 1953 and today, and I am so glad to still see the Corvette alive and kickin' butt still today!! is it in the same shade as the 40th Anniv. C4 'Vette was in? that ruby red? do any of you think they should have done them in polo white, just as the original? and good luck getting a 50th Anniv. C5 Corvette, I bet they are probably all sold already! here's to the past 50 years, and another 50 years of America's first and best sportscar!!

  9. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

I agree 350hp? wut the heck this is a muscle car here! One of the most popular amreican sports car in the world! 50th year and this is how they show off?!? Its pretty sad. I would take the ls6 engine and through it in the 50th and burn the other engine.

  10. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

The 1988 Corvette Calaway Sledgehammer was the best mad eever unfortunately they only ever made one of them but is fast.

  11. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

    Huh?

  12. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

The 40th Anniversary Corvette was white.

  13. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

Oh realy? Well I'm not the President for no reason. I know more about them and their history that anyone on this site.

  14. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

i agree, if you want history..buy this...if you want to race..Z06

  15. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

Like u need 450 hp in a car.

  16. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

    Ever driven a 450 hp car? <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  17. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

I agree! The 70s vettes look so cool and streamlined with their sharp curves. I have a picture of a red 1977 corvette custom pinned on my wall. Its to bad that this website cant find any decent classic vette pics.

  18. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

You claim to be the president of a Corvette Clan. Do you realize you just lost all credibility and should be stripped of any and all titles you may have regarding Corvettes, and be forced to drive an 87 4 cylinder automatic Mustang for the rest fo your life.
The 35th Ann. Vette was white, with a white interior and a blacked out roof section, white stock 17" wheels. That was 1988. The 1993, the 40th Ann. model, was ruby red with matching leather and chrome wheels.
The "president" of a Corvette clan, with as much knowledge as you claim to possess, should never make that kind of mistake. I think you are full of shit, a liar.
You are a disgrace to the crossed flags, are you sure you aren't the president of a CHEVETTE clan??

  19. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

No way man. Corvettes do not look like ordinary cars to other people. They have their own unique look, especially with those awesome daytime running lights. I know a Corvette always turns my head at least twice unless it's an ugly color like that goldish color. That color sucks. If I were to get a Vette, it'd be red. As far as styling goes I'd give 1st place to the C5, 2nd to the C3, 3rd to the C4, and so on. Besides, you don't need to have a menacing look for your Vette if you know you can beat pretty much all vehicles on the road, including the old Vettes.

  20. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

I think the current Vette looks great. I also think the color looks good. Sure it's not the fastest car on the road, but it's not meant to be. I think 350hp is just fine.

  21. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

Nobody has brought up the Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvette here. You want a really fast 50th Anniversary Vette and you have the money get one of those.

  22. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

I dont get it. Ford is teamed up with Harley to produce the F150 HD edition. And that sucks. Lemme tell you why....

This year was Harleys 100th aniversary.

This year was corvettes 50th anniversary.

Why not make a Harley Corvette. They couldve celebrated their anniversaries together!!

  23. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

Much easier to carry a Harley in a F150.

  24. Re: You guys don't seem to understand!

Its not the same shade, but its in the same spirit. Polo white would have been neat from a historical standpoint, but C5s don't look so hot in white with a red interior. I'm not so sure about how many have been sold and what the production run was, though.
The people who think that 350 horsepower is not enough have obviously never driven a 350 horsepower car. I've driven a 275 horsepower truck with a 5 speed and its got quite some punch to it. 75 more horses, 1000+ less pounds, a 6 speed and way cooler looks makes for a kick ass combination. (Though of course, once I'd driven it some, 350 wouldn't be nearly enough. You can never have enough power, though it is possible to have too much.)
